General Worst Game. Ever.

That was the worst performance I've ever seen from the Warriors.

I must admit I've only been a fan since Round 18 2005.

But I've seen a couple of bad Warriors losses.

That was by far the worst. I don't mind losing, but when we play like that, with seemingly no passion or hunger, I question our place in the NRL.

We weren't just bad on attack, our whole game was terrible. Everything.

I swear I saw about 1205720961048975408 runarounds.

For goodness sakes, we even let Wendell Sailor embarrass us TWICE!!!

I've never left a Warriors game. It may have been only 1 minute from the end but I left before the hooter.

Half the team needs to go. There were only a few players who looked like they wanted to be there.

The display on Sunday was, for lack of a better word, disgusting.

Oh, AND they want to sign Stacey Jones for next year, with Seymour playing inside of him.

Yep, that was one of the lousy ones. There comes a time in every Warriors defeat, and yes, this probably means I'm not a "real" fan even though I've had a season ticket since 1996 and will again in 2010, where I stop caring about the result and just want to see some exciting league. I got a bit of that with St George/Illawarra's last try. That was worth watching. Unfortunately, not much else of yesterday was. Wayne Bennett's talking up his team's defence but my nearly blind, nearly deaf actually dead for eighteen months grandmother could have read the Warriors attacking moves yesterday.
Stacey's obviously got Subway on the brain. They do 6 Inches, Footlongs and Wraps. Geddit?? It's one thing not having a Plan B, which the Warriors don't, it's criminal to be too retarded to even hint you have a Plan B, which the Warriors don't. Every player has their favourite moves, and obviously Stacey like the wrap around and the kick. But where's the dummies, decoys etc etc?? Okay, he pops up and gets involved every set but in the end, to what effect??
That wasn't the worst game ever for me - thanks to the try at the end - but it made the Preliminary Final. Got beaten, but still....

There's been far worse performances than that, a few 50 point hidings in fact but against better opposition than the Dragons yesterday. They gave the Warriors so many chances, made more tackles and more errors too but had more class.

I think your Round 18, 2005 comment says a lot. The 2004 season was all about 6 half satisfying wins and 18 embarrassing losses.

Incidentally, I found yesterday's match really entertaining - it was just that the entertaining was done by the other team!

It was extremely entertaining from that point of view JB!

And I can't say I was around in 2004, and if I was I most certainly would've been a Warriors supporter.

Yesterday was one of the very, very few showings where I thought we just didn't bother. And it was very, very disappointing.

2004 really was appalling, right across the season. I remember watching the final match, waiting to find out if we would get the wooden spoon or if the Rabbitohs would take it. Dark, dark days.

Someone who used to walk these hallowed halls summed the match up well in a text message: "Some guys played badly but no real villains. Just a team that looks like they don't know what to do, let alone what each other will do, and are sad about it."

Man wrinting/reading these posts is like greiving a dying relative, how are we going to turn this ship around? HOW!!

Ah. Easy. Win next week.
Rule No 1 about Forums: Most sports forum members will whinge, ***** and moan and claim their team are garbage and will never amount to anything following a loss.
Rule No 2 about Forums: Most sports forum members will develop short memories about what they said when they followed Rule No 1 following a win.
Note I say most. Some of the more sensible folk 'round dese here parts can see further than this week or last week.

I don't know about that. After our last win, people were more negative than ever... ;)

I can't see us winning next week if we play like that. Panthers are a good team with a lot of talent, and a lot of youth.

If we can get our halves in order we'll win it, but the link between forwards and backs has been the biggest problem this year.

Nah that wouldnt be the worst game ever. But it was quite horrible. Especially after a semi-inspirational win in Austalia and a HOME GAME.

should have won the melbourne game, should have won the first dragons game, should have won the broncos game, should have won the doggies game..
if we were a good side we would have won those...
this has been one of the more depressing years of my life haha
il put this season down to 3 main reasons, ovbiously there are a host of others but these are the main 3 imo
1. the tragic passing of sonny fai
2. the unfortunate but always impending retirement of rubes (we miss wiki more then some realise)
3. absolutely sh*t house recruitment and coaching ( took about a 5 year step back in signing jones and cleary/hart got carried away with signing the 2nd rate aussies)

add these
4. Giving up Witt/Fein
5. season ending injury to Brent Tate

Ah the great final round of 2004. Souths got walloped by about 40 odd and than when we got smashed it was still a great thing to watch....
Sad sad times. I don't think we won after our last bye that year (around round 20?). In saying that we probably scored more points that year than this year, we were losing but scoring points (Apart from the 50+ point thrashing by the Chooks @ the SFS, the worst Warriors game ive seen live).

Ha. Have you graduated from bagging other forum members to actual players? Well done.
