This opened my eyes to China and their impending dominance. Giving loans to countries who have no chance of ever paying it back so China instead build ports, airports, roads, highways and get given unfettered access to others EEZ and minerals.

I know our govt(Aust) have been sitting on their hands with the Pacific and South Sea islands for however many years. Now they are packing bricks because China have “given grants” to a number of countries PNG,Kirrabati,Solomon Isles etc. All hell broke loose here about 8 months ago,when PNG gave permission for China to build a naval port in or around Manus Is. The septic tanks were also caught with their pants down too! Not looking too good. Ps. i forgot,China brought a 99 year lease on the Port of Darwin about 3 years back,again much to the disgust of the Federal govt. Also Victoria is also due to aline themselves to the belt road. I personal think the next war won’t be fought like most other wars. This one will be fought by stealth. The way Xi is going,by buying sovereignty

We’ve had huge increases in industrialisation, mass production, automation, etc for the last 30 years and have record low unemployment rates.

Jobs just change.

The only difference is in the past it’s affected the low skill, manual jobs and those workers have ended up in better jobs. Lots of service based industries.

AI will flip that and take the high skill, white collar jobs with employees potentially ending up doing more menial work.

End of the day we need more teachers, nurses, doctors, police officers, etc which will never be replaced so start retraining Frank
