The shifting balance of power in a pandemic.

Global economic crisis.

The UK make insular moves through Brexit.

The US pull back from Global bodies and pull funding.

North Korea the great unknown dictatorship with Nukes.

US Iran tensions after tactical airstrike kills prominent Iranian national hero.

World wide protests, heightened tensions between conservative groups In the west and liberal activists.

GLOBAL WARMING largely sidelined and set to play a role that will likely push humanity to the edge of extinction.

It's not a nice picture....oh Hongkong that's right, more China agro.

The US are the biggest worry, they are about to have a country wide Covid Meltdown...time to launch some Tomahawks at a foreign power to distract from the main game.

I forgot Putins Russia, look to be playing a long game by sitting back and watching the US implode after election interference.

If I was a betting man, I'd be saying NZ should be taking all efforts to stay on China's good side.

The main threat at present is the manipulation of the masses through social media platforms and the like.
The interesting thing about sentient AI that is able to do its own thing, is that the first group that develops it, will always be ahead in the AI arms race because you cannot catch up to something that is self increasing its capabilities at an exponential rate.

Sam Harris talks about a super A.I. being able to download every bit of information on the net within 24hrs, which would instantly make it the most intelligent entity in all of known history, he talks about A.I. being able to self replicate exponentially, but the real fear is if A.I. becomes self-aware.

Elon Musk has said that once that genie is out of the bottle it will be beyond our ability to control & we will essentially become an inferior species. And as the inferior species, we will be at the mercy of the greater species, being A.I.

Others see A.I. as a natural & inevitable step in the evolution of our species & see us eventually joining with them ... it ???
