Show my interest after the Grand Final. Besides coming here waiting for signings I've kind of tuned out looking forward to a summer of catching up on movies and TV shows instead of NRL every weekend night.

Knew this was happening and internationals would be starting soon but this has snack up on me a bit. Looking forward to it as it will be a bit different.

I think the future is more variety with the nines, touch, etc being promoted to grow the game.

If the head knock issues continues to grow in importance, could the main game slowly be replaced with faster, lower impact versions?

Blair ffs- surely they could’ve given a young fella a go.
Even passi- remember when got player of the tournament at the 9s- before sk got hold of him.
Poor bugger changed allegiance to Nz and then they didn’t even play him.

I can't believe he got the call up, especially for 9's!!

I can't wait until he retires because that's the only way he will stop getting selected apparently.

Kanga-poos look deadly. So much speed.
Addo Carr - Brimson - Papenhuyzen -Ponga - Garrick....Scary. Fiji a Smokey!
Imagine if big hits and power runs become more effective than speed. Aussie will be fucked and Kiwis will win. 9s is weird though. Not played enough for anyone to work different formulas. Who knows what gameplan or player type works on the day? Aussie does look deadly though.

In union 7s, Savea/ Vito type players are successful. Maybe our tough second rowers could shine?

A good point about needing to be played more. A few years ago everyone was expecting it to be like 7s but when it came to the crunch games it was closer to normal league with emphasis on defense and playing for territory. The only examples they had were from 96 and 97 from the Super League competition. The issue there is one year was played in heavy mud covered fields if I recall correctly.

It could end up like 13s where Aussie lead the way with a specific type of game, we get players to suit that but they end up changing the way they play ending up one step ahead of us. An advantage of a larger player base. I wouldn't be surprised we see speed win out this time around.

There’s talk only 12,000 tickets sold... be interesting to see if there’s a walk up crowd
