With the rubbish of the game on Monday and the ongoing fallout, I was wondering what "rumors" you may have heard this week? I've heard a number but here's the worst one:

I'd give this only around a 0.1% chance of being true (considering the person have told me hates league more that Trump wants to build a wall between the US and Mexico) is that JD will be leaving the Warriors soon to take up a position with NZ Football. According to this rumor, one of the conditions that JD put in place before he signed on was that the operating budget for the club would be increased either by allowing more profit to stay within the club or through capital injections of cash by Watson to help make the club more competitive.

Instead, the budget for the operations of the club has been reduced and JD is so unhappy he wants out. He's also upset at suggestions that the funds for fixing Mt Smart come from the operations budget instead of extra capital.

NZ Football is in worse shape than the Warriors and that is difficult to achieve for a national sporting body. I doubt JD would take the great leap backwards.

I could believe Watson being stingy with funds. I could believe JD being unhappy with the situation. However neither would be new and he had the NRL job to take if the wanted it.

Funnily enough I was was chatting to a mate that used to work for the Warriors last season...he made a comment that JD won't hang around if the club don't make the finals this season.
