Hi guys,
First of all, thanks for continuing to visit this forum in 2017. Hope you are all revitalised after another testing season in 2016, with all renewed hope and energy for the coming season.

As always we look to feedback from the users on here to make the site a better experience for all Warriors fans. The site's aim is to make it a repository of all Warriors related information/discussion from its origin days, to current, and to stay as an information base for years to come, even perhaps when we have all moved on so the new generation can pick up and reminisce about the earlier years of the team.

mt.wellington has kindly started scanning original supporter club newsletters and that will be available for viewing soon. Its always interesting to see what other fans of the team have been hoarding collecting over the years. If you have any such nostalgic items that you think other fans would be interested in seeing, and would like to share, please get in contact with us.

There have also been some minor changes behind the scenes, and some features of the site may have changed, or disappeared due to lack of use. If you previously saw a feature that is no longer available feel free to let us know so we can look at bringing it back. Alternatively feel free to suggest new additions, changes to how things are (someone suggested the background was too bright a week back so it was dulled a bit to make readability easier), we are always open to suggestions and feedback. It may not always be possible to cater for everyone, but we will try.

We're looking at getting every single one the club ever produced and save them for prosperity so we can all enjoy and reminisce. Will post up an inventory of what I have and if you can plug the gaps Id love to hear from you...

If anyone has any that arent in that list then please get in touch. Looking for any club released booklet, newsletter or magazine. They werent released regularly. 1997 has only 5 months issued but all 5 releases for the year are there. Be good to get a definitive guide on what was released.

Also interested in any RLW from 1993-1995 discussing the start of the Warriors as well as the 2002 and 2011 Grand Final programs...

tajhay, not to sure why as I haven't changed any of the settings on my iPhone but sometimes recently when I've pushed the "New Posts" button, this warning, the above warning has appeared.

Is that screenshot from your IPhone? Looks strange. Do you have one of those larger IPhone models?

Possible to send a fullscreen screenshot of that new posts page, or the forum page i.e. nzwarriors.com/forum/

Couple of things also:
1) check that you dont have an adblocker enabled - or if you do you might want to whitelist the site.
2) ensure your browser javascript is turned on. not sure what browser you are using but info for safari is here : https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/how-to-enable-javascript/safari-iphone-ipod

Also since approximately when have you started getting that message? Site's core software was updated last night and before that about 2 months ago. As far as i know popup blockers are safe to user on here and you shouldnt be getting any weird messages or have elements not being rendered.

Does this show up to you on the forum page?


I think there was someone else last year that experienced similar issues but it was due to their work computer's browser settings. After an update it was resolved so you might want to update your browser too.

I found the same thing . But if you turn your phone sideways it opens it up so you can see the x to close it.

Question: why is it that when I post something in Other Footy (ESL/NSW/Qld Cup) it doesn't show up on the homepage under "latest replies"?

tajhay would have sent you a screen shot but it hasn't happened since my original post.

Sorry but the screenshot in that post was done with the phone in landscape "zoomed in" on the warning.

If it happens again, I'll grab a shot of the whole page in portrait.

is it possible for threads to be automatically watched?

for example could we subscribe to nzwarriors.com so that any thread started by them is automatically added to your watched threads. Would be good for me so that team list, game day, NRL round, post match discussion etc automatically flags rather than having to keep an eye open and adding manually?

Hi mate,
Theres a few ways to do this (apologies if you already know some of these, more of a guide for people who dont know how to use 'watched threads/posts etc':

1) Watching Forums
You can watch forums, for example if you goto the Warriors forum, you can opt to be alerted everytime a new thread is created.

For example goto the General Warriors Discussion section of the site: https://www.nzwarriors.com/forum/general-warriors-discussion.10/
Near the top right, you will see 'Watch Forum'.

Clicking that will allow you to be alerted how you prefer.


Since most people come here for Warriors news, i would recommend that for people who like to be alerted of new information.

You can also click on the link to stop watching the forum if the alerts/emails get too much.

2) Thread Prefixes
Also at the top of each forum section, you have what is called prefix listings.
So for example for the Warriors Discussion: https://www.nzwarriors.com/forum/general-warriors-discussion.10/
At the top of the page is:

Clicking 'Team Lists' for example will take you to any threads that are usually created on tuesdays for team namings. 'Player Discussion' will take you to a list of threads created for individual players so you can discuss more in detail about their performances, news etc.

3) Following Users
You are also able to follow users who you like seeing content from.
To follow a user say for example NZWarriors.com account which we usually create notable threads from, click on their name when you see it. A profile card will show up. So for NZWarriors.com the following card will pop up. Click on Follow.



Once you are following users, you can view their recent activity (posts, threads, actions i.e. likes etc) from your user account menu on the right hand side.

For example for me, i would over 'tajhay' and then click on "Your News Feed', where all the people you follows content will show up.
Alternatively you can click on this.
https://www.nzwarriors.com/account/news-feed

Unfortunately there is no easier method to 'Watch Users'.

I would recommend the first 2 options listed above to do what you want to do.
