Warriors Orange Peeler
Warriors vs Titans Gameday Chatter [Round 25, 2022]

Up the boys! Picking a W to finish the season before we begin the great rebuild of 2023…

Side note: I’m taking my 4yo daughter to the game for the first time which she is super excited for. Can anyone enlighten me as to what ‘kids stuff’ might be in the fun/social zone at the northern end of the stadium? E.g games or face painting etc. Trying to decide whether to go early or not.

- With Shaun Johnson ruled out it means that the team will field their 8th different halves combination of the season & the 5th combo in Stacey Jones' 11th game in charge.
- Only 8 Warriors will play today who also played in the corresponding final round fixture in 2021.
- The Warriors have been victorious in 8 of their last 9 games vs the Titans at Mt Smart Stadium & that includes a 42-0 Round 25 victory.
- The Titans have held the Warriors scoreless in 3 out of the last 4 second halves between the teams.
- Bunty Afoa will finish the season as the sole Warrior to play all 24 games.

There hasn't been much to cheer about for us all season, so it's really important the boys win for the fans today.

It would be a small consolation for us to go 3-1 for our home games this year (including only a 12 point loss against the Storm) to give us some hope that My Smart could be a fortress for us again next year.

It starts here, let's gone Warriors!

Dear Reece Walsh
Thanks for being an excitement machine
Thanks for making the warriors a viable destination for Australian players through the example you set
Although we didn’t win many we were in most games and it was thrilling to see you ball in hand in warriors colours.
Good luck in Brisbane

Thanks also to
Aitken
Murchie
Katoa
Asi
Arthars
Frei

For doing the jersey proud and giving it heaps during a difficult losing year. Good luck in your next steps

Chanel I have a feeling you will be back bettter than ever in 2024 so bye for now rather than farewell

Reflecting on the season, is not an enjoyable task. The usual pre-season expectations followed by one of the worse seasons we have experienced. Only just dodging the wooden spoon that NB had programmed us for.
This is our 4th home game and we have certainly been playing with more enthusiasm at home so logically we should leave it all on the field and snag a win.
To all of you going to the game I wish you a good game, and keep the faith.

I went for a Janfin because why not? It would be nice to get one before the end of the season and I don't think that either team is good for the score to blow out. I'm not sure which side will win by 6 though.
80 more minutes and the season is done. Make it a hard fought last 80 guys and win or lose with some mana

Wouldn't it be great to have some of these guys young, fit, and available next year.
Brent Webb
The Vaganas
Kevin Campion
PJ Marsh
Villasanti
A young Matalino
Clinton Toopi when he won centre of the year
Ali Lautiti

We'd be hard to stop

Interesting how Campion is always wearing the coaches strip, he’s an ambassador for the club with Betham and Guttenbeil but they never seem to be wearing those tops. Would love for him to come onboard as an assistant coach.

And the Titans have not won an away game in 2022
This is the 3rd game this year under this ref - we won against the Tigers in R3 and lost against the Roosters in R6. He appears not afraid to blow a penalty 18 to the Warrors 15 to the oppostion in those 2 games and has called 5 6agains both for and against in those 2 games
