But I will wait and see how they go on the field a few weeks in a row before I give myself over to optimism
I share others sentiments, regarding the nerves and the team from the last 4 years and how going into this game against the Titans after last weeks game, we tend to bumble it along.
However this is 2018, not 2017, and I saw as did we all last week, a team that was fit and cohesive as a group, the fact that we were fitter made our decision making process alot better. We all saw what happened last week and seeing as the bulk of what happened was around fitness, then we will do it again. We can't have lost all that conditioning within a week, so I'm making a bold statement and saying we will wipe the Titans off the park, ran them ragged and score almost at will. Warriors by over 20

So far results in round 2 have been topsy turvy.
No way we should bank on a win over a team that ran us close in the trials followed by a very gritty come back win in the NRL proper.

The thing is I'm not brimming with confidence, but the situation we are in DEMANDS a big win. We broke a massive hoodoo, arguably showed more than 90% of the comp in round one, we're playing a team we usually beat, said team is missing their star half.
If we don't absolutely stomp the Titans, it's more of the same shit. Like a Melbourne fan would and any other good fan would, I expect us to absolute batter a team that shouldn't be on our level. If we can do that, I'll start to embrace confidence, rather than annoyed expectation.

Titans aim to end Warriors hoodoo
The Warriors have won 13 of their last 14 matches against the Titans. Titans coach Garth Brennan is determined to snap Gold Coasts' losing streak against the Warriors when the two teams face off in Auckland.
The Warriors have won 13 of their last 14 matches against the Titans dating back to 2011- the lone win over New Zealand occurred on April 25, 2015 when Gold Coast won 32-28.
Last week, the Warriors claimed their first ever win in Western Australia when they beat the Rabbitohs 32-20. It was also their first win over South Sydney since 2013.
Knowing the Warriors ended a losing streak of their own, Brennan thinks his troops can end the Titans losing hoodoo one at Mt Smart Stadium.
"The Warriors went over (to Perth last week) and hadn't won over there and came away with a great win," Brennan said.
"Everyone is talking about how we've only beaten the Warriors once in the last 14 appearances. Well, maybe it's our turn to get rid of a monkey off our back."
Brennan was impressed with the describing it as the "best 80-minute performance" by the Warriors In their 23-year history.

They’re not thinking about last season or what’s gone before so buggered if I’m going to steel myself for a return of the ghost of Warriors past, based on our preseason and last weeks performance we should win this and comfortably.
