I’m worried about this game.
I’m going with Tigers 13+
Why? To much of a break after a hiding. Had too long to remember the last game. Will be a big one to overcome.
I hope I am wrong but I think we may be in for a bit of a season slump.
This game has all the trademarks of a Warriors of years gone by.
Please make me wrong.

in future players like this will be on the bench playing Fox....
Obviously I don't know the ins and outs of Abbeys decision, but when the Warriors signed Roger Tuivasa-Sheck he was comfortably the best FB in the world, never mind what happened after that but if I had the opportunity to spend a couple of years of being in the same squad I probably would have stayed. Certainly at the moment leaving hasn't exactly worked out for him, onto his second club and still not a first choice.

It’s a tough one at that age, most of them are still essentially kids that think they can do the job without realising what’s actually involved, they think because they want the role they should be able to do it(see this a whole heap in my role).
Logically for a 18-20yo spending 2-3 years understudying a seasoned pro then becoming a first choice in early-mid 20s still gives you a decent career, but I can see how alluring an easier route may seem but you’re essentially starting again in a new club not taking a short cut

I have a good feeling about today and am picking the boys will do the job nicely.

I have a feeling the belief will still be there, even after the caning by the storm. Also think they would’ve learnt a lot from that occasion and more importantly will enjoy having 4 first choice players back in the squad. In front of a home crowd, the boys will put on a few at the back end to show their fitness 13+.

Excited to see Roger Tuivasa-Sheck run a bit more. Not in hitups but off ball runners.
But key to that is for Kata and Ken to be switched on enough to give him passing options.

I think my game day nerves are actually shot after the last few seasons. Nervous about this game after our showing against the storm and the fact Cleary led teams generally do well against us.

Need a win here to get back on track.
Hoping Shaun Johnson doesn't overplay his hand.

The Storm game was a bit skewed in that the damage was done in a relatively short time the for the rest was quite even.

The guys had everything against them. Short turn around travel injury and coming off a really tough game.

This 10 game break should have refreshed them. Will be tough but I am resonably confident.

Gubb had bulked up and was looking good until he was injured at a cruel time.

I was happy to lose him, but he may do alright as a fringe FG player for a few years yet.

Luke plays, Warriors 28-10, with a late try/TA to Bunji because he does nothing when surrounded by Kiwis (ie for our international team) until its too late :), where Johnson is the opposite.

Warriors by 6.

Johnson Try, Tuivasa-Sheck Try, but it's closer than it should be because our kicking isn't as accurate as the Tigers.

Well we did go and drop Lino :) ROFL. Clearly accurate bombs arent part of the game plan.

I look across the park and the only match up I see is Naqama vs Kata. Otherwise we own them. If we are as good as we have been showing, ie coming back after a 40-0 half to draw 2 tries a piece against the best team in the comp, I cant see why this will be a close game. If we can beat the roosters who are the second best team according to sportsbet, 36-6, I dont see the Tigers who have scraped through their wins holding us back. Mind you we did have Lino and his kicking in that 36-6, just saying. LINO :)
