yea said to the misses at half time that this game could come down to the rabbits missing the early kicks. On the screen they were discussing the mess at the end of the game as tho the ref blew it. i didnt see it that way, comments?

Was definitely not the most complete performance. bombed plenty of tries and gave away some silly penalties. the fullback curse continues and ropati looks set to be out for another lengthy time. in the end we did the 2 points and there were some nice touches in there and a great kicking display by maloney.

Also would like to see us get a little more professional with our penalties, nil all and 30 infront of the post we should have kicked to be first on the board, as was said earlier in discussions pressure tells in games like this. In the days of Campion and Price we would never pass up easy points, why are we doing this now?

Anyone else notice the pocket ref in our faces when we made tackles telling us to get up quickly, and yet they seemed to able to lie on us and hold us down for ages!

That Aussie ref was riding us all night. I don't usually buy into the whole "refs are out to get us" conspiracy but tonight I think he was trying to keep the game "fair and even". It seemed like he was constantly trying to overrule or cancel out Perenara.

I'm really surprised Perenara was allowed to ref the coaches. Bad enough he is a Kiwi, but he played 3 games for us as well. I thought overall he reffed quite well and there was no obvious bias, but it got a little messy with both refs making different rulings at times.

I heard that as well, partly what made me question the not kicking.

to mind Points is points, you get the ball back anyway so you still have control. I'm also a fan of the drop kick anytime your 10 mins into the end of a half and ahead even if that means that you kick 3 drop goals in the last 10 mins - points is points and u get the ball back

While im not sure i can agree witht he language i do agree that he was pushing it tonight and getting away with it. If i was the ref i woulda marched him once and sent him twice. When the ref was telling him to shut it he never at any stage actuall shut up, even when threatened with being sent off. I agree that the game gives him the right to question the ref, god knows why - ive yet to see a ref change his decision after making one with out a linesman coming in, but he was completly over the top.

BTW is it an automatic penalty now for shoulder head contact? cause there is no way he should be on report for that.

yeah, saw it in your link. Just above the left knee right before going to ground. Didn't look pleasant, but I can't see how that resulted in a dislocated kneecap.

Can't view the vid for some reason. Can someone tell me what exactly happened to Ropo in that tackle? Was it a leg and head injury in one shot?
