The wheels fell off last week, I would like to think they have been out back on at least finger tight, but I have no faith in our coaching staff being able to put the wheel nuts on at all.

Most teams seem to grow an extra leg against us, but if we can contain Tapine and Papalii I think we’ve got this one by 6-10 points

Big day for the club. Today is about courage. A lot of them won't feel excited about playing. It will take some courage to overcome their fears and insecurities after that self esteem destroying completely demoralizing rout.

And we will not only need to dig in, we will need calm around all the kids in our team. And smarts.


So quite massive ask really if you look at the psychology of it.

Picking the Raiders will see that soft middle and just pour through it, the give the ball some air and bomb the shit out of our made up Wingers.

Not expecting a win here, just signs we are back on track.

We were no better than average against the Cowboys, awful against a terrible Roosters and last week was a disgrace. Only decent performance was against the Broncos.

No we haven’t. We lost to the Dragons and Titans, both below average teams. We beat the Tigers in a battle of the cripples, worst win ever. Ok here’s something positive - on current voting there are 77% expecting us to win today. That’s up from only 61% that expected us to beat the Storm last week - surely that locks us in for a win…

Also Raiders have been equally hopeless

I think decent is being generous. The level of competition plays into it. We haven’t really put in a good performance against a good team apart from maybe the cowboys?
The wins we’ve had imo are just a result of being less shitty than another shitty team. We are definately not a top 8 team at the moment. With injuries starting to add up (which seem to just always completely throw us off any kind of form or momentum) I don’t think you need to be a glass half empty guy to be realistic about what this teams ceiling is this season.

Fuck knows. I think we can win - we’re playing a side that’s arguably more out of form than us with possibly a worse playing squad and, like any side that’s coached by Sticky long enough, gradually imploding.

However the 5 day turnaround is a really tough hurdle to overcome. I’m thinking Raiders in a close one but hopeful we can rebound.

Raiders have had a reasonably tough draw compared to us. Only 1 game so far against a team outside the 8 and beat that team.

I expect them to be tough.

We have been in the contest every week until the second half against the Storm. That was the first time we have been out of a game and the reaction was poor! If we get behind this game we have the potential to mentally imploded so it’s important we start strong and fast.
