Glad for Friday night game to break up lockdown.

I hope we click tonight with a huge win followed by a Ricky meltdown presser

I'd say we have a 50 50 chance of the Warriors getting the chocolates this will drop to 99 to 1 against if Tajhay has a loser of game forum header swap bet going with the Raiders

Timoko and Rapana were really good for the Raiders last week and and will need to keep them in check- Papalii was strong as per usual.
Matt Lodge back this week is huge and I expect him and Addin Fonua-Blake to play big minutes.
Bench rotation will be important - Hiku to play a key role as he can create space from nothing

Reality is there is only a 5 day turnaround for the team, but I certainly think they will be competitive.
Apparently still mathematically possible to make the 8, but even if we do would be a quick exit.

I will be concerned for Stickies health if we snag a win.

This game for me depends on two things:
1. Which forward pack gets the edge up front. Both back lines are approximately equal... So which forward pack can get the field position and possession...
2. How the referees are feeling and whether or not they have an agenda...

Battle of the forward packs will be good. Aitken vs Whitehead, Papali'i and Tapine vs Lodge and Fonua-Blake... It's possible that Hodgson will be the difference...

I think the game tonight and next week will be an indication of what next year might look like - both Canberra and Titans will be amongst the middle group of teams fighting it out for the top 8 IMO - and teams we should be if we are aiming for top 4. We will be losing a couple of good players but also picking a couple up so the team won't be hugely different. I will be happy if we play a good brand of footy and Win but also won't be too disappointed if we play well and come close. If we win well that would be great and hope will beckon for semi final footy; if we lose bad then there are no excuses we just aren't a good enough side and should not expect miracles next year either!

Raiders vs Warriors pre match comparison
The below is for entertainment purposes
Not to be taken too seriously

Full Back - Advantage Warriors
Wings - Advantage Warriors by a nose
Centres - Advantage Warriors with Hiku in form.
Halves - Even as wighton has been average this season
Props - Even
Hooker - Raiders
Second Row - Even
Lock - Raiders

Bench - Raiders as Horsborough always a handful

Totals
Warriors 3 Advantages
Raiders 3 Advantages

Warriors can win this if we can contain Horsborough
and our bench Kodi/Jazz/Katoa/Bunty out play their bench significantly

Glad the Knights won last night. Gives tonight's game a small flicker of meaning. Would have to say the Raiders are favourites, but they will be under far more pressure than us. If we sneak a win and the Broncos tip over the Sharks it would be a great final round showdown.

Someone on Facebook, who usually gets good mail early, reckons Pompey & Tevaga are out and Berry & Evans are in 🤷‍♂️
Hmm that’s one good and one bad for me. Tevaga has been great for the last 7 or 8 weeks, has really turned a corner. I like him coming off the bench 20-25 minutes in and then setting the pace of our defensive line.

Roco to swap for Pompey? Yes please.

The whole game last week I thought we looked flat, or slightly off. I hope that’s not the case tonight. I think Sean O'Sullivan brings some nervous energy which will be good for us, you never quite know what he’s going to do

The head says Canberra.

The heart wishes Warriors.

I've picked it wrong the last 4 weeks. So I'll stick to my run of back luck and back the Raiders tonight for an epic meltdown win.....
