Let's remember how many other Warriors players were lauded by NRL "Experts" and went over to an Australian team and turned to pumpkins.
Warriors by 8.
And the players we havnt ie
Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. Maybe thats our problem, we dont identify the players who are mentally able to handle it. There are so many unwanted players in the NRL, we just bought one on the way out but they clearly see something in him.
The way Chanel handled those games and we had them won except for fading and (the ref cough) players just not making the tackles they should at the end, really has nothing to do with Chanel. He has proved he was worth backing. We cant BUY every player. We have Green who is our Good half, not great, yet now we have an unwanted half to match. You cant make the finals with Good and blah. The dragons will show us next week what a Great 7 and a good 6 looks like and what we should have been aiming for. Thats all I will say on it.
No one has blamed
Chanel Harris-Tavita solely for the losses. Rather, that he is a rookie learning the ropes and has a lot to learn. Green and KN can teach the rookies a lot and both will get more chances during the year.
????
KN is coming here to start all over again, I thought that was obvious, there is nothing he can add to
Chanel Harris-Tavita, he was a player bound for the SL if he was lucky. He has to learn 3 key skills and 1 we need to replace. If anything
Chanel Harris-Tavita will teach KN. I would like to see
Chanel Harris-Tavita at 7 which is his native spot, hopefully Green goes down a few times this year. 22yo is late to be starting in the NRL, 26yo KN is going to be pushed hard weekly by coaches I would expect. Dont be confused by the 80 games, firstly it takes at least 100 games to start your real best play, secondly he hasnt shown that in 80 games. And yes Ive watched most of them. Positive side I believe he can learn, but not from Green, from the coaching staff. Its
Chanel Harris-Tavita that could have learnt something from Green. But Green is no Cooper Cronk, he was the guy in reserve grade for Cronk.
The amount on the Warriors winning here is huge. I dont feel Green will make much difference win or lose. Remember the 2 towelings this year with Green? AK got the blame for those, rightly or wrongly but had Green accepted any blame? he 2/4. Not much different than
Chanel Harris-Tavita 1/4 (but if team steps up last 10 mins 3/4) with no other half on the field vs better teams. End of, want to stay positive.
Im very 50/50 about this game, only because Green for me makes little difference, what makes the difference for me is
Herbert if he plays like an All Stars centre again and the biggest change will be
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck back, Captain. Conversely you have a VERY good Knights roster that can match us, but if Pearce steps up our D better be on point and hopefully
Chanel Harris-Tavita is better at 6 this week than being the entire halves. Although he was there to learn from Greeny. Also we have a kicker on field which is huge, unlike next week potentially.
