Warriors vs Broncos Gameday Chatter [Round 11, 2019]

Warriors can win this.. depending on team selection and bench rotation.

I don't think the Broncos have a great team this year, it wouldn't surprise me if the Warriors destroy them
yea I agree if everyone plays to their potential from kickoff this should be ours especially after Titans and Knights pulled off upsets last night. Bring it on.

My good lady’s birthday today. She was really pleased when I suggested that we go out for the evening today. Not so happy when I mentioned going to Mt Smart.
Hysterical.

You really know how to charm her. I’m surprised you didn’t suggest she makes sure she’s hung out all the washing before she gets to head to Penrose.

Later: “Oh darling. You’re so beautiful. Did you put the cat out?”

Our 25th Wedding Anniversary this year is the same weekend as the Grand Final. I wonder if I should suggest a trip over to Sydney. Probably best not too!!!!

Suggest a trip to Aussie for the weekend of GF. When she starts pointing the finger, say you meant Melbourne. When there you suggest she goes to the Factory shops in Richmond, or Chadstone.

Plenty of Melbourne residents on this site. They will know where the place to watch the game among the like minded. Small price to pay to watch the Warriors win their first Premiership.

I use such tactics on my Wife and am running at 100%.......fail.

Our two wins have papered over cracks that a lot of people don't seem to want to acknowledge, and would rather live in the twilight zone. We beat the Dargs and Penny, both of which are basket cases atm. Be surprised if we can handle the Donkeys through the middle, on both sides of the ball. Will be pleaseantly surprised if we win. GG Warriorbros.

Herbert has solidified the outside backs defence, Blair got dropped, Kearney selected the best team the Warriors have available the last 2 weeks and they are winning. The Warriors dont have the strongest team in the comp but the players are no worse than Brisbanes team

The main weakness the Warriors have is the halves but Brisbane doesn't have great halves either

Yep, you're probably right, for me personally i was just pleased to see some level of effort carried over from the previous week - albeit for the first time this year.

I'm not feeling terribly confident in this one, missing Paasi with those big Broncos worries me, however at this stage its something of a consistency battle between the 2 teams, which probably favours us marginally..

But to your point, our ruck is often a shambles when our ruck is dominated, we don't recover well. Very concerning especially against bigger packs. Our attack and defence has improved with Herbert and Niko coming in. We SHOULD get better

Based on how the Roosters played last night i think if we play as a team we could wear them down, based on the basis the Donkeys had a hard game last game.

Give Kodi and Roger plenty of ball and take the legs from under their big boys the job is cool.

Note SK please manage your bench and selection.

Brisbanes weakness is their forward packs inexperience, you have to get them off kilter and thats where they have faltered this year. We don't have the pack to match them, so like every week it will be wether our back 3 can set the platform for our servicable pack to work off the back of. I would say our weakness is just as much our pack, as it is our halves. But like every other week, I will blindly be watching hoping for a win.

Hard one to predict. Warriors should have enough to win. Lose, and their back in the scramble to avoid last place. Win and they are back in the mix for top 8.

With the league playing out as it is, I can actually see the 16th place team actually winning at least 7 games this season.

To me it is a funny season thus far. Too many dreams are having rocks and diamonds performances.

This is Indigenous Round, so does that mean Maori cultural stuff for us? In which case, always a cursed sign.

Also, a home-game which seems to bring out a less effective performance from us of late.

Against a pretty tough team.

So not feeling a win, but want to be surprised, of course.

I am also extremely worried our pack matching it with the Broncs with big Iggy out. I think our backs could dominate if we can get enough go forward, quick play the balls and field position.

For me the keys to our win are (in addition to our forwards aiming up);
1. The refs ruling wrestle equally
2. Kicking game of Green, Kodi and Isaac Luke vs the Broncs
3. Running game of Luke and Lawton out of Dummy Half vs Turpin & Segeyaro
4. Balance of reducing errors vs taking risks if it is on e.g. off-loads and spinning the ball.

I wonder if the Broncs will kick out like Cowboys did to negate Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, big Ken and the Fusitua.

Can't wait for the game. My keg is just about carbonated up to perfection so looking forward to a fun night 🍺

I am worried, the new interpretation of penalties inside the 10 leading to send offs is going to be brought into full effect against the warriors today. they always seem to cop the rule interpretation changes more than others IMO.
