Swear man, when Pricey went away with that shoulder/neck thingy I was panicking like a manic! Haha. But I was happy he got back on and was all right thank god! It was funny during that game, was watching how Sonny went and he went ace (thums up) and I was cheering like made when he ran and stuff and my mum's like:
"Who you going for?" lol.
Yeah Willie did a nice thing there after putting in that sear tackle on Rovelli. I thought Ravs thought it funny for a second. haha. I kinda hope he doesn't get hooked by the judish coz it would be a shame.
Big WIllie...mmm...a little quiter which is unusual for him. Normally over there he goes ape running and stuff. But he got tackled pretty well during the game so that was cool.

Toopi...what bloody planet was that man on?!?! Argh! I kinda forgave him for some of his dopy things last week but this week I was far from happy.
And honestly I am going to 'ring' Toddy's neck one of these days! Damn it, an uncontested highball and he STILL manages to screw it up. Blah!

Penalty-maybe, report-probably not and maybe should have been left. But it hurt yes. I can't remember exactly where Patten's elbow hit Fien. Was it right on the forehead?

Still it looked bad, (probably more so when you see how the other half comes from it) it hurt and ouch elbow+head not a nice combination. I just didn't think Patten needed to do it, he seemed to have gotten in Fien's way in the first place but maybe he should have tired to tackle him stead of sticking the elbow out? Mean the ball seemed past both players anyway so contact could and should have been avoided.
Anyway nevermind hope Fien's ok...he'll have a nice bruise! But I'm sure he's going to be fine

Anyway that was nothing compared to that stupid Penrith Panther who put a massive late, LATE one of Stacey last year (that one still ticks me off)

It was a shocker. His elbow hit Feins face he wasn't even going for the ball, I think he should be suspended for 6-8 weeks.

Absolutely! I remember asking a Penrith fan to give their 'neutral' thoughts and it was something along the lines of it wasn't late, he deserved it..blah, blah blah. That fan was lucky I didn't try to break HIS neck for that comment.

Oh yeh and John Lang had the bloody cheek to accuse Pricey of doing similar things! We all know if Pricey goes for the kicker he aims for the ball Never the man.

I thought it was just a collision then i saw it was Pattern who always puts cheap shots in and that made up my mind that it was a case of going for the man not the ball.

Patten conected with Fien's head, or so it appeared - that's a high shot according to the rules. If Patten had hit him anywhere else it would have been play on.

you cna't garentee there was malice in it. I'm not saying what he did was right because it wasn't. The ball's gone, all Fien was doing was following up a kick which he is allowed to do. Patten should have turned to chase the ball not go:
"Oh here he comes I'll just go stick my elbow in his face and pretend I'm innocent" It was down right wrong on all accounts. I know GTD loves her boys but you can't say he was right to do that because quite clearly it wasn't.

Two things you don't do when a chaser is going FOR THE BALL. You never hold them back or obsruct their pathway unless you are going for the ball and never take a player out if the ball is nowhere in sight.

Not you can't and shoulden't get away with it. I't s a classic case of what NOT to do. Yeah Fien was completely lucky he didn't come out of it with anymore than feeling like being punched or what. Could have been alot wore.
But I guess we should try to look at it from Patten's point of view for a second. Here's this guy running after the ball; he's threatning the in goal or somewhere in the vincity of it. As a last line of defense (which fullbacks are) you'd do anything to protect it right? I should hope so.

However, when he was called out or when it happened he didn't look sorry or anything. The total opposite to Tonga's upside down spear tackle on Rovelli where he was a little concerned and worried but still made sure the other player was ok. Ok so he gave him a pat on the head (oi! Ravs is not a pet! haha) but there's the difference between two incidents, slightly different outcomes.

yeh tonga is copping two weeks on the sideline for his tackle on ravs, but at least he seemed somewhat sorry for what he did and knew what he did was wrong. unlike patten who didnt give a rats.

one actually broke the horizontal rule....so hey.
