The Warriors looked way bigger units!

Speaking of size.

Have a look at the size of the 10 in the Raiders Ball team. Looks like Shannon Boyd playing against 12 yo kids. Must have actual Viking blood in him.

He’s a whopper.

Interestingly the Rabbits dwarfed the Tigers in their trial two weeks ago.
Their wings/centre’s in particular are actually pretty big humans.

Dickie Terepo (St Kents) on the wing there for the Storm.

The Falcon

Solid first up effort from the young guys.
TSS looks like a natural leader - he has so much potential - he really leads by example.
This teams success will play an important part enticing other young guys to play for the Warriors or at least considering joining.
They are ones who will be chatting amongst friends and telling them if it’s a good place to come to play and learn.

One change has been made for the One New Zealand Warriors’ first home match of the season when they face the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in Sunday’s second-round SG Ball clash against Manly Warringah on Sunday (12.00pm kick-off).
Ben Peni comes onto the bench in a line-up otherwise unchanged from the one used in the hard-earned season-opening 10-8 win over South Sydney last Sunday.

It will be the club’s first SG Ball clash on New Zealand soil since beating Parramatta 42-22 in March.
The match will also see the One New Zealand Warriors venture outside Auckland to play a match at Pukekohe’s Navigation Homes Stadium, a venue they’ll again use two weeks later against St George Illawarra.
The Sea Eagles come into the fixture on the back of an 18-40 loss to Western Suburbs.

I quite liked the look of sio kali.
Only saw the first half but he’s a specimen and looks like he moves well- could see him kicking on.

You got your wish Sup42 regarding young Durbin
That approach - i.e., bringing the returning player back to the team through the bench - makes complete sense following a win. As reflected in various comments above, it means not changing a winning team, it rewards good performances from the starting pack and gets Ben Peni into the 17, but makes him work for a starting spot. Different position if we got pumped last week.
Some good early signs from Blair as a head coach.

It will be an early pressure cooker test for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in Pukekohe on Sunday.

The Sea Eagles take on the Warriors at Navigation Home Stadium (12pm NZ time) in what will be the first SG Ball Cup home game for the Warriors since last March.

Manly heads into the game on the back of a 40-18 loss to the Western Suburbs Magpies at Campbelltown Sports Stadium last Saturday.
The Warriors recorded a hard fought 10-8 win over South Sydney in round one.

Sea Eagles Coach Brett Fulton said his side was in the game for long periods against Wests but a lack of composure with the ball put pressure on their defence.

“The boys know it was a lesson that we need to hang in there and compete regardless of circumstance,’’ Fulton said ahead of the trip to New Zealand.

“We have bolstered our depleted middle stocks, welcoming back Raymond Lole, who was a part of our Harold Matthews Cup grand final winning team, and Simmy Laiafi from our Harold Matthews squad for this week’s game.

“Both are big bodies. We are confident they will assist in strengthening up our middle.

“The boys are excited to get across the ‘ditch’ and test themselves against a strong Warriors outfit.

“The Warriors are a powerful side and we will have to be on our game in both attack and defence to nullify their roll.”
