Ben Matulino is adamant he won't be following fellow prop Russell Packer and leaving the Warriors.

Matulino has been linked with a move away from Mount Smart Stadium, along with Packer and fullback Kevin Locke.

He says it's simply not true.

"Rumours came around... but the Warriors, I'm pretty much here for the rest of my life I guess."

Good news, but the words don't neccessarily portray a positive spin. I'm sure he means it, but the wording almost sounds like he is accepting it rather than be happy about it.

Don't panic, not accusing him of anything, just that the words don't come across well on paper. Perhaps in context with the rest of the discussion would have looked better.

Well it sounds as though the club has told him very clearly what they think of his future with him which is a great start. Clearly they're offering him a deal he rather likes to keep him here too (whether he likes it or not).

not the right choice for them imo. they have the same problem as the warriors, their pack isnt big enough. they do have thaiday and parker though and those guys go all day and clock up big numbers

Yeah, aside from the fact that the Broncos have a forward pack consisting of Hannant, McCullough, McGuire, Thaiday, Parker, Gillett, Glenn.....Lowrie is one player they do not need. Also, Stagg only went to the Broncos because he was originally from Brisbane and no other club wanted him, he wasn't an integral member of their pack that needs replacing.

Further to that, Lowrie was on the radio yesterday and all he spoke about was how much he's enjoyed his move to Auckland and looking to 2014 etc, etc. He also had a poor season, and any deal he'd be signing at the Broncos would be nowhere near what he's on atm.

Whilst many here would probably hope it's true, I'd suggest it's absolute BS.

it was mentioned just after the Russell packer interview on radio sport I can't remember there was another forward named with matulino because there contracts were coming up for review for the 2015 season

I thought he said "I'm not with the Warriors anymore, I'm a Knight, I don't know what they're doing and its none of my concern anymore"

can't see lowrie going to the broncs, isn't parker their lock already anyways? just got dally m lock of the year..
I also think lowrie will have a better year this year, when he first came in he was a penalty machine because of how much slack he got at the Storm, but now he'll know how things work and he'll be more comfortable in the team,

i doubt he'll be moved to NSW cup so he'll prob be our lock for a while, needs to be a tackle-bot

Yeah, you'd think so.

From a leaving perspective it would make sense if told Benry is the man going forward and he won't be re-signed, or the Warriors have someone under the radar. Doesn't seem to fit Broncs-wise, though.

I think these are all the warriors players that have been added to world cup train on squads, 22 players if you include Bukuya and Tomkins who will be there next year. I know not all of these players will be named in the squads but still good to be in the train on squad. I find it hilarious that craig bellamy went on about not wanting to play the nines cause he's got "SO MANY" players in the world cup haha pshh

Was reading on the reputable Warriors Supporters Facebook page that Kevin Locke was sitting next to someone on a flight and said he may be going to the Storm to play FB while Slater will move to 6 to prolong his career. Apparently from the horses mouth himself...
