We had Jody playing for us for Bay Roskill against Manurewa this week. The word was that the Warriors were just rotating players and Jody should be back in the U20s next week. Even though we lost 42-28, Jody was outstanding. He put my boy in for two easy tries on the wing with execeptional cut out passes and put our lock in for three with inside passes creating space. He didn't get many chances to kick on the last and seemed to prefer running it when attacking the tryline anyway.
Manurewa had Aaron Heremaia from the Vulcans who have a bye this week and he was also impressive especially with line breaks and last tackle kicking. Seeing as how Jody and Aaron have both been touted as possible Rovelli replacements on this forum and others, it was interesting to see them go head to head with Jody outshining Aaron IMO but not by much.
