General Warriors NSW Cup Reserve Grade 2023

Looking forward to seeing how Geronimo goes in place of Volkman

I'm surprised Nofoaluma isn't listed. He's not injured or suspended

I’m really happy to see Aukusitino back already, it was scary to see him be taken from the game in the ambulance, I’m glad it wasn’t serious.

sorry i know i ask this every week but is it televised in NZ? i can’t see it listed anywhere

Three tries to Magpies (the third being pretty soft), and it's now started to bucket down. We've held Magpies on their own line for a couple of sets thanks to a few penalties, but couldn't land a killer blow (lots of one out running).

Some good D on our line kept it to 16-0 at halftime. We've had a couple of opportunities, but don't seem to be troubling the Magpies line (again, one out plays).
The most creative play of the half was the last play of the half. Berry tried his go-to play of getting on the outside of his opposite to draw the winger and flick to Graham-Taufa.
No real standouts, but I think Griffin would have regretted moving Roache out of 9 to start the game. Service from dummy half hasn't been great (Farr has been put under of a lot of pressure, not helped by a (questionably) quick Magpies D line).
D was better in the second 20 of the first half, so hopefully that continues and we create some opportunities on attack in the second half.

Good try in the corner from Moala-Taufa. Sparked by a strong run from Ali Leiataua, who picked up a grubber from his own in-goal and run the ball through the Magpies' staggered D line to the 40m line. A couple of quick plays and then they hit Berry who got an arm free to send send Moala-Taufa down the sideline. The winger then ran over the top of Daine Lawrie and scored in the corner.
Momentum has been with us early in the second half. Shape looks heaps better on attack too - especially the right side with Taine chiming in.

Magpies score again after Leiataua (I think) spills a bomb in the in goal. 20-4 with kick to come

Graham-Taufa scores a second diving over from dummy half. Another strong run from Berry on the right hand side draws a penalty from Will Smith, who argued with Badger and allowed Graham-Taufa to burrow over.
Tuaupiki converted. 22-10 with 3 to go. Probably too little too late.
