It better not be.. I associate our current jersey with pain and heartache. Plus i was never a big fan of it.

I think they have to. I think you have to keep a design under license for at least 2 years in the NRL.

I think that the best uniform out of them all was the one the 20s used in the pre-season games, the grey uniform. I think it might be their training kit?

Nah the best one was the training variation of the current jersey with the splashes of red on it. They won all the trial games in that jersey too. I don't know how management could've picked the current one over the trial one when fan response clearly thought the trial one was a better design.

I dont like this jersey, if you look at the design it points to the wearers left, the same direction in which 90% of our attack goes. Coincidence? I dont think so. Also they are alot smaller than the old ones with much tighter sleeves, limiting offload potential for players wearing them. Made by an Iconic kiwi brand in an iconic chinese factory.

I agree 100%. I honestly think that this entire season can be put down to our jerseys.

I've never owned a warriors jersey but I've always wanted one. I think I might just buy a 1995 one off trademe... bloody ugly (still maybe less ugly that this 2009 one?), but at least it bring back positive memories of collecting the Warriors signature coke cans, and my brother sitting me aside and telling me we were league fans because league is better than rugby. "Just because!"

Yeah these jerseys just have bad connotations for me tbh. Wish we could bring back the puma ones...we had finals calibre seasons in each year of those (would have made the 8 the first year if not for -4 based on salary cap breaches...)

Hopefully we use the training shirts fulltime next year they pwn. Bought my mum one for mothers day instead of the real thing since she liked them better lol

Why do they charge so much?

I've been a Warriors fan since day 1 and I've always wanted a jersey.
I only got my first one last year, thanks to the likes of TradeMe, where you can get decent prices. Jerseys usually go for about $50-$70, but you can sometimes pick up a bargain for $20-$30.
I have about 4 Warriors jerseys now, and I wouldn't have spent anywhere near the price of a new 2009 jersey.

I am not totally convinced that $180 would give the maximum return. I have never done any direct research into sports marketing but if other trends carry over I would suspect that jeresy sale would have an impact on several other revenue streams including sponsorship, ticket sales and tv viewing numbers.

Warriors Misc Jersey and Merchandise Thread

Thread for all miscellaneous jerseys and merchandise before 2012.

I may be a little OCD, but I would like to build a catalogue of all the different Warriors jerseys over the years and the year (and reason) the jerseys existed. I would like to see photos of each jersey (and back views if available), but if illustrations are all that is possible, then that will have to do.

I am in the midst of designing a sports bar for my home and would like it to be Warriors themed and have the full history of the club around the walls. (I have been thinking of getting a mate to paint the jerseys on the wall with a large front view and a small back view with one players name and number from each year on the back view).

I want to have all jerseys from each year (home, away, heritage, special, testimonial, etc) and a photo framed up with a legendary moment from the year of the jersey as well as a complete team list.

I will start posting photos of the jerseys with the year, but I don't have all of the info needed, so if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Let me know if I have made a mistake, missed something or any other info that should be added.

Also, if anyone can find and post a high resolution photo of any legendary moments which I could turn into a framed picture (such as the team running out in game one 1995, Stacy scoring in the 2002 GF, Faumuina's basketball pass to Evarn Tuimavave against the Broncos, etc), it would be greatly appreciated.
