I find it hypocritical that the herald (and other news sources) want us to link through to their sites when we quote/cut and paste something but don't think it's worth paying the same back when they do it to us/MtW.

Cheers for sharing that mate, Ive never seen this collection before,

Im right into the old league jerseys, older the better too , I don't mind any country either but obviously prefer the Kiwi ones more.

This one in particular caught my eye, 1950s George Menzies jersey. I'm lovin the badge too.

Id spend good money if anything like this or older ever became available.

Very very rare to get these jerseys complete. They didnt get training gear and suits like they do these days. Often the only thing they were given were their game jersey, shorts and socks. After the game they would take off the badge and keep that as a memento and wear the jersey to work or trainings. The only reason why this jersey survived was because the Test was played in Auckland and Menzies gifted it to the family he billeted with. Didnt even get to stay at a hotel!

If youre into old jerseys youll love this guys collection...

That's an amazing collection alright mate, maybe one of the best. That stuff is like league jersey porn for me.

Ive never joined Facebook. Obviously there are some cool pages like that out there that I am missing out on as a result.

But I do look online for sporting memorabilia auctions worldwide from time to time, and the very few times I've seen any old league memorabilia worth bidding on,have either been so expensive or snapped up before you even get a chance to bid.

It would just be so cool IMO to have something like these old jerseys hanging in your man cave or wherever, a genuine piece of worn history of the game we all love.

If there is one Jersey that stands out from the rest it is one that doesn't show on the list above & that is NRL NINES TANGAROA!!! Kia Kaha
It comes in at number 5 on the list....

5. 2015 Nines "Tangaroa"

The introduction of the Nines in 2014 was a great chance to make a new shirt. While there have been a number of absolute dogs seen at Eden Park, this is one of the best. Based on the Paua shell, with blues that reference both the host city and the club's heritage, it is one of the only shirts that competently uses Maori designs.

The Kete jersey being so high is mystifying to me. This years version of the 2002 jersey is so much better. I also might be alone on this, but I loved the black and white Eden park jersey and the Guttenbiel / Tribal jersey. Would rank both much higher.

I hate that 2012 Heritage. It would rate as one of my worse 5. Definitely the worst remake ever.

I also love that Black Fern jersey. One of my favourites and a much better Eden Park tribute jersey than that Blue Voltage jersey which should have had the concept pictures burnt instead of going to production...

That articles just one guys opinion. Why don't we vote on the best Warriors jersey ourselves?

Or pick our own home, away, heritage, alternate etc.
