Horriors2013

We’re setting ourselves up for another fall here.

What happens if its an amazing doco showing the players with blood sweat and tears and we end up starting the season 0-6????

Common sense would say show the doco only after we’ve had a solid start to the year. Dont show it sooner because if we’re still crap when the season starts then all hope for this club is truly gone.

Watch the players body language closely in this doco. Dont listen to the verbal BS from the coaches. Just read the players and look at their faces. They are the ones taking the field.
.....

So much optimism before the season starts, Warriors fandom has hit rock bottom..

in my professional opinion...

it is always important to remember that when the camera is rolling we must accept that the subject is either consciously or subconsiously aware of the fact they are being observed, and even ever-so slightly, this can affect performance.

;P

That's what I was thinking the minute I saw the headline. Complete objectivity is impossible in any research. And people always either hide from or play up to the camera. And when the CEO publicly declared it was made to change the public's perception, it does attract skepticism. Knowing that the players have struggled to handle criticism from fans, no doubt that does linger in their minds during filming. However I also know that when you're in the middle of hard training and pushed to your limit all that goes out the window. Furthermore I'm sure there will be times when the camera shows up unannounced. So I think overall it will be interesting, and I'm always a fan of realism. Raw footage is usually telling, as it's easy to tell fakers.

You gotta laugh at us celebrating the Warriors toning down the preseason hype....

Now we know why.
Mentioned by membership staff at the fan engagement meeting that it was a conscious decision made by Cameron George to keep it low key. Nothing to do with this doco. He didn't want the club trying to bullshit fans any longer after the rubbish they have been serving up for the last 6 years. No more faith, loyal type campaigns. Its the reason why auto renewal memberships were pushed back so long. Give fans enough time to grieve lol.

Liking George. More a finger on the pulse type CEO as opposed to Doyles clinical business approach. Some things I don't like but overall so far so good...

sounds good. In truth i am looking forward to this more than some seasons of breaking bad...i have always dreamed of seeing a local league doco exclusively letting us see inside the place we have only seen from a far.

Hope they play this on the NRL app in AUS so we can see it.

It’s fucking awesome. I’m an S&C coach so I’m all about it, but SK is completely different, corvo is brutal, and some players like
Tevaga and gavet were really vocal and talking some good shit. SK looks to be a tough uncomprimising leader. Of course, time will tell but they’re certainly ticking boxes and attending to areas that needed attending to. This doco looks really good. Well done NZ Warriors

Well how good was that?! jsmooove thanks brother - made my night.

Have to say I already feel a little more proud of the club, welcome back you fuckers - I missed you.

Win lose or draw - we can be assured of a couple of things, some pride in the jersey, more accountability and some raw fucking effort, that’s all I can ask for, don’t care if we make the eight - just give us something back to be proud of.

I get a sense we’re going to get just that.

Bring on 2018.

Great insight! Not pulling any punches. It'd be good to hear what the senior players have been saying in those team talks.

Nice balance too with the community work in Mangakino - loved seeing the kids enjoying the training sesh.

Thank you so much for putting this up there.
I thought it was a slick production. I didnt think it really answered many questions. Wish i had something to compare it to. Noted that on the return of the world cup players, the standard dropped, something that shits me as i would have expected them to raise the bar not lower it.

Still it was nice to see them working hard. And great to see SK demanding more. Worrying to see the three coaches like that though, when you look at their success rate, corvo is the only one with anything going (as coaches)

Totally underwhelming, american style ppv tv promo for sky tv to lift its rapidly dropping league subscribers.

There was no true insights, no true breakthroughs - made for fence sitters and those considering canceling their subscriptions due to abysmal warriors performances. Sky is one desperate dog currently.

In essence as they say in the promo business made for the thickos.
