The question then becomes what is a pass rate we give Webster for the first 6?I agree wholeheartedly that round 1 is crucial. We have to win. We also have to gun for the next Knights encounter.
You would normally fancy your chances against the Dogs but the team I saw play last night have improved out of sight. Townsvile no matter how well or poorly the Cowboys are playing has always been a bit of a hoodoo for us. The Sharks are top contenders this year and the Roosters are the Roosters.
Honestly only seeing us beat the Knights twice optimistically but always have hope we can shank a 3rd somewhere somehow. Two is my final answer. Lock it in please...
You all know what I think.
We have to win 6 of the first 10 games to make the finals.
So I'll go with at least 3 wins in the first 6 games, leaves us with 3 to get in the next 4.
A pass mark for me is what would be a pass mark in most circumstances. 50%. 3 from 6.The question then becomes what is a pass rate we give Webster for the first 6?

Oh for that 2018 run again! Great memories of those first 6 rounds.A pass mark for me is what would be a pass mark in most circumstances. 50%. 3 from 6.
BTW added 5 and 6 as a poll option. Its only right. If you would like to change your vote that option has also been added but will be removed before the round 1 game so we can gloat or roast accordingly...
I hope we win 3 of the first 6. I voted for 2. I'm scared if we only get 1 as we possibly could go 1 from 11 with our draw from rounds 7-11.You do realise our next 4 after the first 6 are
Cows
Storm
Roosters
Panthers...

That draw from round 8-11 is just awful for us. Tuesday night 11pm (NZ time game) in Melbourne, flying back home, short turn-around, Roosters, short turn around Panthers, short turn around then 10pm (NZ time) game in Sydney vs the dogs.
That’s because it takes until Round 6 for the new seasons supply of brown paper bags to arrive. We can beat the Roosters. They never start trying until round 6
They stopped doing it that way years ago...That’s because it takes until Round 6 for the new seasons supply of brown paper bags to arrive.![]()
So 1-2 wins from the first 6 rounds could easily extend to 1-2 wins from the first 10 rounds. Very grim. You do realise our next 4 after the first 6 are

For what it's worth, our last GF year (2011) had only 2 wins out of the first 6 games (although that was followed by 5 straight wins). Here’s the history of our first 6 rds from 2018 and where we finished after Rd 6
2018 - 5 wins - 8th
2019 - 2 wins - 13th
2020 - 2 wins - 10th
2021 - 1 win - 12th
2022- 3 wins - 15th
All is not lost even with a 1/6 start….
And as with Wrighty’s theory that poor players bring down those around them, poor results can also knocks the teams confidence, faith in the systems and ultimately team intensity. So 1-2 wins from the first 6 rounds could easily extend to 1-2 wins from the first 10 rounds. Very grim.
Only problem with that view is that we most likely aren’t a genuine top 8 team. And as with Wrighty’s theory that poor players bring down those around them, poor results can also knocks the teams confidence, faith in the systems and ultimately team intensity.
Tough draw.
On the flip side if we are a genuine top 8 team we should be able to win a few against top 8 opponents, especially if some are at home.
That’s why I said ‘if’Only problem with that view is that we most likely aren’t a genuine top 8 team.
