Really enjoy Webby`s press conferences. He gives good honest answers and he has a laugh with Tohu.
Needs to tell big T to let someone else take it up on the 4th. It’s putting a massive handbrake on the roll up field. Roger is the best bloke for it, can beat his man, land on his front and get a quick ptb.

Tohu is great in those 2/3 tackles as a link

I've never been one to watch press conferences. Maybe occassionally if something has happened. Mainly used to laugh at some of the clips or screenshots people would post on here of grumpy Kearney or Brown.

NRL coaches typically act like they are an annoyance. Some only last a couple of minutes.

Websters seem to go a while and are quite refreshing. Answer the questions, you can also learn a bit.

Also some funny moments like telling Tohu not to just say the whole game was the hardest part. Or the chomping, champing at the bit line.

Moving the ball to our right in the opposition 20 was a strength last year. It's looking like it might have improved this year.

I think it was Matty Johns that said last year or during 2022 that the Panthers don't do set up places. It looks like we are getting to that point as last year you could sometimes see we'd be getting to a specific position with straight setup plays. Now it looks like the setup plays have a bit more to them and then they go.

Webster also made a comment after on game last year how although we had the formation it looked to predictable. He said something along the lines of having the formation but having a number of options or not having to be forced to use it. So it would be more fluid.

We still need to improve our left hand side. But if we can improve on last year we could be in for some good times.

The Knights will probably go down to the Storm and be 0-3 so will be desperate. They are a side that have played well against us in the past couple of years. No easy beat. I expect another game like tonight, but hopefully Egan will be back to give a bit more direction. Lussick was good, but I like having CHT on the bench.

Souths will be an interesting watch now. They are our opposition in round 5, so it will be interesting to see if they still look long in the tooth, or if the old hat's class shines through.

Hope their coach hangs on until after they play us, it’s bad to play a team with a brand new coach and not knowing what plays they will dish up the first game

Shoutout to those sensible bros who stopped the pitch invasion after the Metcalf try, a bunch of fans lost their heads in the excitement and tried to go and kiss Dallin by the look of it, could have been embarrassing. I thought the whole stand was going to collapse at one point such was the euphoria.
Drummers were awesome too, like a pounding heartbeat throughout the game at exactly the right times.

I was nervous the drum comes out like AAMI Park sound lol

Relief to get on the board, that last 10mins I kept picking up and then putting the defib back down minute after minute.

People are a bit worried about our attack, and the lack of directness which is fair. Freddy has played 72 and 69mins the past fortnight, while safe I won't add any more.

But I think people underestimate just how good Egan is at what he does, hes top three in the NRL for service and craft. He guides our sets perfectly right down the field, and very rarely make the wrong play or decision. He can generate momentum in a set when our forwards aren't exactly banging down the front door down, and when the forwards are our sets are almost unstoppable moving up field with him pulling the strings tieing up markers as he steps out. When we are in the red zone, you are 90% of the time getting a bullet off the deck and out in front. In terms of the forwards you are hitting balls at the advantage line moving up field, when in the red zone our link forwaro or halves are getting the extra half step of time to play square and weigh up options from his pass delivery.

As someone who's favourite position is hooker and loves just watching them go about their business. I honestly can't say enough about just how important what Egan does for us, he is the glue that sets the team free with the ball and I will die on that hill.

Have I been a fan boy since watching him tear up in junior grades? Sure, but I don't believe anything I have said is untrue.

I'm unsure why Feddy is getting 70mins a game, I can only imagine CHT's motor is still not FG ready otherwise it just doesn't make sense. CHT only got two sets with the ball last week before we defended for 5mins to finish. Tonight he came on and changed tempo well adding crisp passing with a bit of vision. He's the 14 for me by seasons end if we are going to carry a hooker on the bench.

- liked the desperation D, might have being working on midweek
- D mostly numbered up well, although Raiders didn’t really do much trickeries, Monty had a brain snap
- The CHT to Bunty knock on/forward pass in the dying minutes looked so 2022 Warriors lol
- Can’t even hold the ball x2 and saved by the bunker x1 in the final 10 minutes, still a work in progress to lock up games against elite teams under pressure, more practice the better at this stage of the year
- Jazz was tentative holding the ball, but grew into the game, weird he wasn’t flashy but made a lot of meters, solid D too
- They could do more with Dallin coming in field, Luke and Roger roaming would be gun
- RTS needs to roam in space, he said Webby told him about the Manu type role, maybe he’s not doing it at centre for now due to learning the role and keeping it simple, imagine in 3 months him roaming up next to SJ and Berry

Was CHT passing better? People seem to be saying that

Tohu said they changed some things up in the final minutes as learning from last week, what’s he referring to?
