Be careful if you are booking flights to this game.

I am aware of a strong rumour that the game is being moved forward to Saturday 29th at 5pm

I also understand that Air New Zealand have no flights out of Wellington after around 7.30pm that night so a stay over might be required

So much for setting a draw so that fans can make travel plans well in advance

Is there a conflict with another game or event???

The Phoenix were scheduled to play on Saturday and I understand that they are moving their game to Sunday - "rotation"

Fuck my flight arrives from Nelson at 4.30pm Saturday, hope your wrong.

Don't see it happening myself. Not that I doubt you Dixpat but it would get the Warriors offside with far too many people. There are Grab-a-Seat planes locked and loaded for the event and it would also involve a rejig of the whole NRL schedule as well. I dont know???

Well I hope this doesn't eventuate as my flight doesn't arrive until 6:30pm which will mean that I miss the game completely! Might be a novel way to increase crowd numbers for the Phoenix though ...

Won't bother me as we booked to go down Saturday so we could watch The phoenix game at 5pm Saturday. I see the grab a seat flight is no longer showing on the Grab a seat site, either sold out or pulled???????
I agree with you Mt Wellington, changing the date at this stage would piss a heap of people off, not just Warriors fans but also Tigers fans who had decided to cross the ditch to watch the game.

Instead of I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out. I went to a rugby league game and a game of football broke out.;)

If this is happening this is a bad look. Like mentioned previously the supporters of both sides flying in from across NZ or from overseas; most of them most likely would probably be flying in and out quickly for the weekend.

I've used to travel to Wellington quite a bit for work and often booked either on short notice or a few weeks out. Often if there is an event on it can get difficult to find accommodation. So as well as changing flights a lot of people have the stress of changing their accommodation as well.

Have been trying to get the warriors to give an answer when the bloody tickets go on sale for the capital clash... No response at all!!! Friggen hopeless!!

After the noise the Phoenix have been making about building their own stadium this week and now denying it, this could be the stadiums way of trying to bend over and keep the Phoenix happy by moving to a Sunday arvo game??

I believe they have to wait for the NRL to release the ticket prices etc. I was told early Feb last week via email from the club.
"Dragons tickets should be on sale in the next week or so we are just waiting on the NRL one that one, but all members will be notified for a presale."

Can you shed any more light on this rumour, where the information came from and the reasoning behind the change?
Would effect Adelaide United and their supporters as well

Like any good journalist one needs to keeps one source private but...

...yesterday morning Grabaseat had 79 seats available on their flights ex Auckland and later in the day the promotion was pulled

Also re tickets not being available until NRL set the prices - I purchased tickets for the Bulldogs v Warriors @ Hamilton on 18 May on Friday. It would be odd that the NRL set prices for games 2 months after the West Tigers game but hadn't done so for this one

Something is not quite right here and supporters need an explanation

i wouldn't be putting blame entirely on the warriors, at the end of the day the decision to move the day could be completely out of their control.

that draw looks to be created be a member of that forum and may have messed up the dates. Besides the grabaseat available seats going missing is there any other reason why you believe the dates have been switched?

I am not blaming any one - I am warning fans not to book flights etc. to Wellington until they are sure of the date & time of the game

Strange that they messed up the date we are talking about and on which I received an unsolicited comment yesterday

My post was in good faith & you are free to heed or reject the warning as you see fit - it worries me not what you do
