Well they could beat the 5 teams ranked below them in the remaining rounds and knock off the Sea Eagles at Ericsson. That would give them 32 points and probably 3rd spot.

A loss and they will probably get 4th. 2 losses and they would get 4th or 5th, 3 losses and it would be more like 6th, 7th or 8th.

Statistically the Warriors would need to win 5/5 of their matches AND the Broncos, Cowboys and Eel would need to lose 2/5 of their remaining matches AND the Bulldogs need to lose the same amount of games as us for us to make 3rd.
The Cowboys play the Panthers (last), Dragons(14th), Knights(11th).
The Broncos play the Eels so there is 1 of the 2 wins they would need.
The Eels play the Sharks (12th) and the Dragons (11th).

Statistically we have roughly a 10% chance of getting into the top 4.

That isn't correct. We could win the same amount of games as the Bronco's and beat them on For / Against (we are on the same points). We are only 2 points behind the Cowboys so they only have to lose one game. Stopped reading after that.

Broncos are also ahead of us in P/D by 10-20 so unless they win all their games by 1 point we need to have 1 more win compared to them to overtake them. Don't forget which team piled on the most points this season in a single game.

Look at everybody else's run in.

We can easily finish 3rd.

Not saying we will, but we could.

Eels are going pretty well at the moment, they probably can win a few so I wouldn't be under estimating them. Hopefully they lose a few thou, that would help us out. hehe

My predictions after going through the remaining 5 rounds are:

1. Storm (42 - dropping one more game to the Bulldogs away.)
2. Manly (42 - winning all 5 games)
3. Eels (32 - dropping 2 games; Storm away and Dragons away)
4. Warriors (30 - dropping one game; Manly at home.)
5. Tigers (30 - dropping one game; Sharks away.)
6. Bulldogs (28 - dropping 2 games; Eels away and Broncos away)
7. Cowboys (28 - dropping 3 games; Tigers tonight, Knights away and Bulldogs
at home)
8. Broncos (26 - dropping 3 games; Manly away, Storm away and Eels away)

The Tigers have a relatively easy draw, safely through tonight's game against the Cowboys, and pose the biggest threat to a home semi for us. The Cowboys would also be a threat if they won tonight. Both the Bulldogs and Broncos have tough draws and would have to win them in a row to trouble us.

A little old now, but that isn't true either. We just need to win our games by a greater margin thans the Donkeys, and 10 points is nothing. This has been proven by us overtaking their F/A in one game already. So we don't have to win one more game.

The Cowboys had a shocking F/A before yesterday and now it is disgraceful. We have a really good F/A and that will likely be key to where we finish!

I still think we will finish in the Top 4, and if we do we are in for a real showing!

Bare in mind thou we may not win the next few games by similar margins where we've cracked 40 or 50 points. Most likekly some of our remaining games might be a lot tighter and we should be ready for those type of games. Where not all the lovely little things go smothly and where we have to take our oppertunities when we get given the chance.

Round 21 results tend to have gone our way.
Tigers lost a game they were expected to win.
Cowboys are still in the running for a top 4 spot as they are now one point ahead of us. Assuming we have one more loss (to Manly), they need to lose two games (or lose one and draw one). Their draw is Panthers (a), Dragons (h), Knights (a) and Bulldogs (h). Given the better form by the Panthers and the Dragons, the difficulty of beating the Knights away and the strength of the Dogs, then that is a likely possibility.

You could also look at round 21 and say that did nothing for us. 1 point or 0 points, there's not much difference as our P/D was so much better than anyone elses on the same number of points. So instead of being ahead on points diff or by 1 point, makes no difference to our standing. And, given the cowboys run home isn't the hardest ever, makes me think they'll finish ahead of us.

Though hopefully they continue their shit form and the Saints continue their good form, just so they lose a couple more.
