You mean David Stagg. I agree with everything you say though. GF teams always look good in retrospect. A team like that would have been written off at the start of the year, and was by most pundits. Ben Barba is the difference for mine, never reached potential until Des arrived.

Yeah my bad, David Stagg (Broncos). The main difference was Des Hasler and the support team he had in place. Barba was by far the biggest improvement but the efforts of the forwards and their short passing game shouldnt be overlooked. Big raps for Reynolds and Morris too. At the end of the day, all things point back to Des.

all them players they got last season (perrett,inu) will be on full contracts with them this year throw in tony williams as well. hodkinson was on huge money to leave manly and they have him in nsw cup. stagg,graham,eastwood,pritchard ennis,toleman all pricey imports. then throw in kasiano barba and reynolds upgrades you are looking at one hell of an expensive team. Makes me think either they have the secret to cheating the cap without getting caught or our recruiters are doing a shite job at enticing these guys to the warriors or the club are just being cheap and unwilling to bring in overseas stars. and lastly think about this the dogs a still trying to sign thurston how is that even possible.

I reckon if they sign Thurston, who isnt off contract till the end of the 2013 season, Hodkinson, who is on $266,000, will be the first to be released as he's off contract at the end of 2013 as well. One quick look at the Bulldogs roster on zerotackle.com shows they have 14 players off contract at the end of next season. think it is also to important to point out that Thurston signing is merely media speculation and not a known fact.
