Kearney has correctly identified the Warriors biggest problem. Apathy.

That's why his selections don't always make sense from a skills perspective. He picks the players who are the most committed to the club, regardless of whether they are the most skilled or talented for the position.

This approach will bear fruit in the years to come as players slowly get it into their thick heads that attitude is more important than talent.

Slightly disagree. You still need talent mixed with the right. 13 man wrongs won’t win a single game but if we get the right balance across the field with one goal then that where championships come. I’m a big fan of bball and you talent but you need your enforcers and your finesse guys as well. I feel like tevaga although attitude is great he impacts the chemistry on attack to much which kills the flow of the offense. We need the chemistry first because we can’t score points.

I think Jazz is getting selected more on his professionalism in general than what he brings on the park.

Kearney is enforcing the rule that the most professional players get picked. Then he's going to slowly hire new players who will be professional enough to get into the team under his standards, who also have the skills we need to win footy games.

Green, Harris, Pulu, Blair, Beale all came into the team this season, and their professionalism has been second to none. I'm expecting more professional players to be brought over in the next round of signings.

So it's with that in mind that Kearney is digging his heels in with the week to week team selections as well. He's giving the players ample time to sort themselves out professionally, off the park, before he brings in someone to replace them.

Jazz is obviously the epitome of a pro. Not the most talented player by any means. But if a young player emulated the Jazz mans attitude and effort, he'd be doing himself a huge favor in sport and in life. This is why I support Kearney picking Jazz to play big minutes every weekend.

I agree with you about team dynamics. But Kearney is gunning to have the most professional team in the comp. When he has that then we'll see him picking the most dynamic 17 available on the day.

This is the foundation of the Storms ongoing success IMO. Right attitude and outstanding professionalism gets your foot in the door. Then it's up to you to be a better footy player than the other guys in the squad so you can get selected. If you're not a pro with a great attitude you're cast down into the second tier awaiting eventual replacement.

It's Fox's 'retro round' which I believe is confusingly, a different thing. Either way, I don't know and I don't care. I just want a win. Any sort of win will do. That puts us 6pts clear of 9th.

This is a game we win easily with a good strength team, but no Luke has me incredibly worried that this will be banana peel.
