Titans vs Warriors Gameday Chatter [Round 2, 2022]

Titans 5

Improved performance expected today. More fluency after the run against the dragons. Titans will be a handful though. Big game for Taylor with a point to prove. Excited for this one. Let’s hope the mistakes from last week stay in last week. Onwards..

I think the titans might win comfortably, this throw it around approach will only work with combinations and above average backline play and we just don't have it. If they play to the forwards more, might have a chance.
Hmm maybe. Call it a vibe, but warrior ball got us to two GF’s. Offloading support play and eyes up footie. 2002, 2011. They were amazing years. 2022 has got that feel about it - we are going back to what our people and our players instinctively know how to do best. Throw the ball around and take a few risks. We can’t be Melbourne, or the roosters, or manly. We have to be us. Bring the pasifika flair back. Yes, mistakes will happen. But playing confident and instinctively is how the Warriors make finals.

I just have this vibe that we will click this year. Might take us a few weeks, but something special is happening. If we pull off a win today against the Tits playing that brand, then we could be onto something.

My feel is that Nathan Brown has got the players all bought into a style - and is letting them be themselves.

I like the style but we have to play it smart. Win the forward battle and play expansive off the back of that. I back us to have a go when it’s on.

We were to rushed last week. Not enough respect for possession, territory and field position. We can’t win with 43% possession. Got to play smarter this week!

Close game on paper if the Warriors play well.

Otherwise the Ttans look really good so like a few people I can see it getting ugly.

Not hating on the Warriors or being negative.

The Titans are playing very well so....

So early in the season it’s hard to gauge where teams are at. Titans going close to eels last week, but eels weren’t great. We went with the dragons for most of last week and they kept up with the panthers last night. Panthers carved manly last week, who were beaten by the roosters last night, who were smashed by the knights round 1. If we can throw some good attack their way, they gave up a lot of points last week. They scored plenty too, but can’t tell if the eels are a good template yet this year. I still think this is going to be a 2018 type year where many teams are fighting it out for top 8.

Reading the game day thread so far, it feels like Tony Kemp has taken over. I don't believe that our team is that bad, yes we have injuries but i am confident we will win today. I am going for win by a janfin special. Let's gone warriors!!
