Correct you are, sad times.

Maybe Kearney just uses his 17th man position like a game day prize for best young trainer throughout the week. "As 17th man you have won the opportunity to spend the day with the vodafone warriors. You get to spend time in the sheds, out there warming up in your own specialised playing kit. Then sit on the bench for the full 80 with the players taking in the whole game day experience." What a prize!!

With earlier games I sometimes do a first try sweepstakes with the kids, put all the names into a hat and draw it out, the winner gets chocolate (dad is a big spender). Am a bit unsure whether to do it this week, if the neighbours catch on I am subjecting the kids to the Warriors someone might call CYPS

What's the point now they have shat on Benedict! 12 steps to a level crossing is a better bet. Now I have to battle a fucken mouse in my ceiling the smart wanker doesn't eat peanut butter.

Try a sledge hammer. Mickey will be dead but you'll both feel better

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck: Warriors must vary the attack

Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck says the Warriors must show better awareness around how to vary their attack and play with greater speed in today's clash against the Gold Coast.

The 24-year-old fullback says their round 12 win over Brisbane and last week's loss to Parramatta have taught the Warriors the benefit of changing the point of their attack instead of sticking rigidly to their set structures.

Working through sets to launch their sweeping backline plays has reaped rewards but the Warriors are putting a greater emphasis on recognising and exploiting opportunities closer to the ruck through hard running and quick play the balls.

"We don't have the biggest forwards but we have a really mobile pack," Tuivasa-Sheck said. "So if we can create that running momentum through the middle, instead of going for the big shape, and the pass out the back, it can work for us.

"We've said if we can break the middle first and allow players like myself and Issac Luke to run, then we can start to look to that stuff," the skipper said yesterday.

Against the Broncos, a strong charge from Ken Maumalo provided space for halfback Shaun Johnson to step through the middle of the ruck for their first try.

Maumalo then scored in the second half after a quick play the ball from front rower Albert Vete allowed hooker Luke to run from dummy half and split the Broncos defence.

Against the Eels, the Warriors struggled for attacking fluency but looked sharp inside the final 10 minutes, when an ad-lib set finished with Tuivasa-Sheck beating four defenders through the middle of the park to score beside the posts.

"We were getting a lot of joy going through the middle of them instead of going around the back," Tuivasa-Sheck said.

"We did it really well and were starting to open up space for myself and Isaac.

While the top 8 sides have likely worked out several backline plays and then shelved them so they can unleash them in the finals series it's taken until round 14 for the Warriors to realise they need an alternative to their backline sweep?? SMH.

If mobile means they can't go forward then yeah, we have the most mobile pack in the competition.

You'd think the 20 odd points they are letting in per game would be the focus.

Honestly, pretty much.

Our attack had been so fucking boring, for so long, it's like they've completely forgotten how to use their biggest weapons...

It's something I've been thinking about lately... that in many ways, the Storm system really has been an absolute poison to the NRL. Not least because of the garbage 2nd man, back door, ultra conservative, soulless attacking football that's festered because of their success.

CYFs and the Gambling commision will let U off if u put at least one Titans player name in the draw....otherwise you're playing with fire there...

Always enjoy the buzz of game day here on the GC, nothing beats the atmosphere of actually being at the game can't wait. Also the freedom to follow a player and not the ball will allow me to follow our 'big' signing for next year Pulu, I haven't seen much of him and what I have seen has been pretty meh.

Our past performances against GC on the GC would suggest that we should have this one in the bag.

However...

We are without a win in oz this year and our team is playing like utter shite.

Therefore...

I'm guessing we will pull one out of our arses and come away with the W.

Titans at a canter.

Wonder if any of our players will turn up this week. Lillyman might try hard given he's in line to be dropped for QLD. Shaun Johnson I doubt will do anything other than kick the ball out on the full amongst a few bombs to nobody in particular.

Ok, so this is it. Game of the year and will probably have to watch it as it's 5pm which is just a tad early to be in bed drunk, belligerant and feeling woefully numb from another humiliating defeat.

However, in the interests of fair play and the last vestige of hope, I've gone for a Janfin special and put all my bookie money on a win. You useless bastards better pull one out of the bag here and give me something to feel a little positive about. Today will be the day "the process" gets shoved down the dunny.

Hope CNK gets a gig.
