Why do so many kiwi league players act like dickheads off the field?

SYDNEY - Teenage Kiwis hopeful Terence Seuseu has been suspended for one week by his Newcastle National Rugby League (NRL) club for breaching its code of conduct.

Newcastle Knights operations manager Stephen Crowe told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper that Seuseu was "involved in a fracas" and asked to leave a licensed premises on Sunday night, then missed a training session.

Seuseu's name was yesterday missing from the squad to face South Sydney on Sunday.

The young hooker, a bench player for New Zealand A last year, made an impressive NRL debut last month in the absence of injured Knights international Danny Buderus.

yeh they do. former leeds teammates ryan bailey and chev walker saw jailtime a few seasons ago for assault. something like that anyway.

Yes, that rings a bell. But do they have regular incidents? The NRL is full of them. Every year, a new scandal makes the news.

Young men who associate in pressure situations like to let their hair down away from the footy field. Unfortunately, the combination of inflated egos, public profile, booze and too much time and money on their hands is sometimes a bad combination.

Perhaps the NRL should have a Code of Conduct which is included in every player's contract with stipulated penalties for breaches.
