Pissed off at myself for not looking into where this was at. I’m not far from Pukekohe and saw the matches there last year.

Good to see the tries have been shared around! 9 tries and only the last one was a player getting their double (Raphael Sio). Great result for the Points for and against in a short comp, and great for the morale going into back to back away games (the first, Roosters, having won two and the other, Bunnies, having lost both).

Some of our junior club football teams get to use VEO to record their games. Surely the club would be using something similar to be able to review games where other footage isn't being used. It wouldn't be hard to post that live it slightly delayed would it. And give supporters and the players some coverage to look at
Possible legal issues with the streaming rights? Even though all the games aren't aired.

I don’t think that’s the case, as Sky Sports occasionally films NSW footy when they already have a camera crew at the ground for the top side, and there are people like Bunnies TV who stream games on YouTube. I think it’s just an economics thing, NSWRL obviously won’t send a camera crew to NZ, Sky Sports wouldn’t turn a profit sending camera crews out for a junior grade league match and I guess it’s a lot to ask of Robbo to also fund a camera crew for home games, on top of the overall costs for the junior teams.

Anyone go? Match report would be lovely
I was there. I thought they were good last week and that they've should've beaten the Eels, this week they were a lot better. Lots of punch through the middle and speed on the edges. Both halves were good, Soric was the man last week but Maui Winitana-Patelesio was the dominant half this week. Soric was still really good though. They scored 9 trys and there was at least 4 more that could've been scored with more polish but they earned the right to make a few mistakes. Best thing for me being a Kelston supporter was watching Ralphy Sio in full flight, scorching the Bears winger on the outside from within the Warriors half to score.

This is great to hear, and the bolded bit is even better!

As I understand it, the Bears aren't a strong team in the age grade comps generally as their players tend to be the "leftovers" from other clubs' pathways - but either way, it is a great result to build confidence for the side as they take on the Roosters next week. Hopefully our young halves can back up what sounds like another great display. Exciting times!

Not sure on the details, but I'm pretty sure NSWRL / the clubs film every game - as the clubs get footage to do video sessions with their teams.

Maybe they're concerned as to whether the quality is consistent enough across all games to commercialise a streaming offer? I assume it is a question of interest / cost / resources to stream all of them. However, I would have thought that making all games available for paying members/persons would be a great revenue stream for the game... especially when NSWRL (and QRL) are taking the NRL to court over funding matters.

The Bears were solid, had some size and speed but lacked x-factor. I'd say they had the bigger pack in height at least. They won't win too many games though. They had a decent following that had flown over too.

The Roosters will be the true test. De La Salle Va'a is a man mountain, he smashed our Ball team last year as a 17 year old and rampaged through the Dogs last week. He'll take some stopping.

Yeah the Roosters will definitely be a big step up from the Bears! I stayed for the first half of the Roosters v Bulldogs game last week, and they looked a good side. The Tigers (another club that has generally struggled in the age grades) pushed them all the way though. HM and SG Ball are interesting though, as they're such short competitions and at a strange time of the year - but after 3-4 games it becomes a bit easier to pick the good sides.

What an absolute unit.
