I lost my passion for origin quite a few years back now

I grew up in the era of real fire & brimstone origin when the two teams genuinely hated each other

Whoever took that first hit up from the kick off was always gonna get absolutely smashed & the biff was always simmering

Sure modern day origin is a faster & more skillful affair, but it's just nowhere near as intense as it used to be IMO

Maybe I'm just getting old, but after the game became overly sanitized it took away one of my great pleasures in life

Which is seeing a bunch of skippies smash the living shit out of each other in the intense combat theater that was origin of old

At least I was old enough to experience it I suppose, unlike the young folk of today who have been brought up in the PG era
