nooo, Tamil is an ethnicity. Historically they are based in a southern state of India, and also in Northern Sri Lanka. Really being a Tamil is not a choice, it`s like being born a Maori or Hungarian, whatever. But separationism is a choice, and the Tamil Tigers are an example of that. Just like not every Irish person supports the IRA.

Well they are a minority in Sri Lanka (about 20% of the population), and they have been treated as such by the system. They don`t have equal rights. Some of them eventually became grumpy enough to start a civil war.

There is a major difficulty with stopping tours to the sub continent; those three countries, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka are where the money is at. Terrorists or not, if any given international cricketing association wants to tour and make a profit, that's where you go.
Money will prevail over common sense in this case.
