RUMOUR: Berrigan > Warriors

So, yeah. Not confirmed until the confirmation has been confirmed, but yeah...thoughts?

Does anyone know how he's being going in the ESL? Heavenly?

Apparently not that good...off field dramas ie his gf getting arrested, injuries...plus he's 32...

Broncos have said no to him...gc is interested...I'd think he'll remain in qld...

Source for at least half the rumour is (again rumoured to be) one a player agent.

Keep in mind, though, that a rumour is generally unsourced...otherwise it wouldn't be a rumour...lol.

I should note that neither of these rumours excite me. :/

That's what makes it a rumour, hombre!

Until a club makes an announcement and the NRL authenticates it, the speculation shall remain...but the person I've heard this from gets most of these things right.

He's been going ok. Nothing outstanding. Certainly hasn't been at his NRL best for sometime.
I'd have him at the Warriors as a hooker though.

Yes, this has been thrown around for a few days now, it's definitely a rumour with substance as Berrigan was known to be looking into an NRL return but whether it is us that got his signature is still wide open for speculation.

I wouldn't be against it, to be honest. He's got experience and can play effectively at centre or hooker. I don't think of him as a halves option, but certainly he has been impressive for the Broncos and in rep teams in the past in these positions. Centre is an area that I think needs some attention, as does hooker. Shaun is a player who can get on a bit of a hot streak, I've never really understood it with him, he's not particularly big, agile, quick... anything really, but he is very effective and direct.

What are your little birdies telling you, NU? Apparently it's agreed but not signed.

We probably need a centre more than another prop though, although a 32 year old is probably not the answer.

Unless it's a superstar centre, I don't think we need a stop-gap/average centre. We have the cover there, but are lacking class. Berrigan could well be the answer, but has he even played centre in the last 5 years?

Why wouldn't we consider him as a hooker? He's a dynamo there. We're short of quality, experienced hookers.

The way I see it is I understand we have a fair wad of cash to go under the cap, we are short of both a centre and a hooker, and this bloke is a former Origin and Australian international who has a track record of winning premierships.

Dude, he 42!

Typo mate, "3"2! Not "4"2! Nonetheless, you'd sign him for one or two seasons while we try to develop other centres.

I could accept bringing him on in a Toopi style of role - as backup, and a veteran to mentor the younger players.

If he still has it, throw him into the starting line up. I'm just wary of swooning over someone I haven't seen play in 5 years.
