We have a string of games where we could put ourselves in serious contention for a place in the finals.

Real hard to predict how we will go week to week because of the lack of consistency.

They need to start showing they understand the basics of a game.

Ball retention and getting to the kick should be top of the list, the Sharks are no mugs.

Hold the ball and we probably win.

Tabs got us at 14.5 point under dogs which is pretty grim. We're pretty beat up and they're mostly healthy which doesn't help anything. We'll need Katoa/Murchie/Ben Murdoch-Masila to really step up and make statements. All 3 have shown it before, need it today. Katoa especially would be such a great asset if he can get back into prime form.

No doubt today's game is going to be a tough one, but it's not like we are traveling to Melbourne either. If the warriors get into thier work as early as possible and stick with the Sharks early they are there for the taking.

We have shown we are better in the second half And the Sharks have not been that great in that period.

Hoping for continued upsets for the round.

The fella who was in the bunker when we played the Roosters also got the cut as a result of his stuff ups. Can't recall us getting favourable calls against the Storm as a result. Can you?

- The Warriors have won 3 of their last 4 games that have had an 8 day turnaround from their previous match.
- The Warriors have only won 1 of their last 9 games played on a Sunday.
- 2014 was the last time the Warriors won back to back games in Rounds 8 & 9 of a season.
- The Sharks right edge have conceded 13 tries this season compared to just 3 on their left.
- Referee, Todd Smith, has only reffed the Warriors once & that was in their Round 5 win over the NQ Cowboys. The Sharks have never played under Smith.
- The Warriors have conceded exactly the same amount of penalties (54) that they've been awarded this season. The Sharks however have conceded 8 more than they've received.
- The Sharks have been unable to score any tries in their last 100 second half minutes.

The Sharks have shown a few weaknesses that we can exploit if we're up to it.
And 2 points at the end from Hollywood Lodge if it's getting close wouldn't be a bad thing

Unfortunately I cannot see us winning today. And our for and against is so poor I really think we will struggle to ever make it back into the top 8 this season. There are too many good sides above us that we would have to beat to even have a chance of making the top 8. We just do not have a team playing well enough or the players to beat the teams in the top half of the ladder. I could be wrong though, but we have looked ordinary this season. Lucky we have played some pretty bad sides already. The game against the Storm really showed we are miles behind the good sides.

Time for some reverse magical thinking: i'm picking two extremely dodgy bunker calls FOR US... and we get up by 12.

I seriously hope Shaun Johnson has a blinder - as a former shark le chad did ok last night (tho he fluked a few off a couple short miscued kicks), Shaun to do the same if not better

For once i have zero idea how it's going to go but have a feeling we may just pull of the upset or it gets ugly for us. I'm doing my part and taking my kids to the movies today before the game lol (refer to my previous post from last week's game for the reference).
