Sharks vs Warriors GAME DAY [Round 5, 2023]

Sharks 1

I don't know why we don't play lussick over Sironen? I'm sure there's a method to the madness but I don't want egen getting busted every week either.

I'm very very nervous about this one, first Janfin for the year but not sure I'm feeling all that lucky.

Just hope young Ronald goes well and gets to exhibit some of the skills he has and just maybe having Walker start will be a masterstroke

Think this one may just be a tad beyond us, Sharks too much strike across the park.

Just important we dont drop the standards we've set over the opening rounds.

So long as we keep showing the same resilience, keep turning up on defence, working hard.......we do this and lose so be it cause in the end these are the qualities that will win us more games than we lose.

On a more practical front after watching the Sharks last week a couple of areas i'd like to see us target.....throw numbers at Talakai on attack, doesnt have the best read, force him to have to make decisions.
Also the one time the Dragons put Hynes in a 1 on1 situation Ben Hunt beat him ease. Would like to see us manufacture more of those situations, see if we can exploit it.

Our pack is going to have to play out of their skin i feel.

Yeah I said in the team thread Talakai is their weakness.

He has the same issues that Hurrell had with weight control too, which does not point towards a long career in the NRL if teams work out how to run him around a lot for 80 he is screwed.

Main concern for today is that our game plan has gone due to injuries.

We will not see the double impact of the bald bros who tire the opposition out and take the wind out of everyone we have played this year, giving us a shot in the final ten.

And when we hit minute 70 we are missing our best bots for strangling them, the other half of our game plan is depleted, however, our replacements could put on a noble stand there.

We just won't have the extra gas in the tank that has been our unique strength over other NRL teams, the reason we have such a tiny forward pack.

Today I fear it will end up just looking like the big man vs small man boxing adage.

I am not as worried about how good the Sharks are, as I am about us not having the people who make Webster ball possible.

Honestly for me - Sharks are overrated
Hynes is great and is literally their key
If we can keep him quiet then the rest of the team are manageable
They have a good squad but not as great as many would say!
I think if we keep on improving like we have been and keep the intensity we have been showing this season so far - we should get over the line by a hearty 8-12 points! Especially with Egan back I feel a lot more comfortable! True we have a couple missing but this should test Webbys like for like swapping! Hoping Volkman and Shaun Johnson can create some magic! It’s going to be a tough game but Defs not nervous like previous years! Am excited as! WARRRRRRIORS!

I'm nervous with everyone else! Although this forum is usually wrong so when we think we are going to lose we win and vice versa. The forums confidence against the Dogs had me more worried and we almost lost that.

I am hoping for some key injuries and sin bins to the sharks during the game

At full strength we would give a great nudge for sure

With the named team, we need that confidence and cohesion to go toe to toe

Calls will go against us at some stage so we need composure and communication

Bench rotation and no on-field injuries a must

Ronnie V please my man, play your role and bring your form into this game

It’s your time to shine not be a passenger

A Win and we the real deal
A close loss I’m so proud and we are in the mix
A blow out and let’s see how we recover

I feel like we have a good chance Anzac game vs storm so this is a great test

18 - 10 Sharks
