Well he is definitely going to be the first backup to those two. There's no way that Sean O'Sullivan is anything other than fourth option in the halves pecking order.
If they were comfortable with PT being backup I don't think they would have signed Sean O'Sullivan considering Jayden Nikorima is also considered an option

As of right now I think Sean O'Sullivan is the backup just because of the runs on the board this could all change in preseason though

I'm sure he's coming over here to try an play .
Even if he's not the most athletic he could still play a role
He looked like he has a good passing game
He takes the ball draws his man an passes .
On the line with big forwards running off him he could
Be lethal .

Yes they would've, every squad has four halves.
Is Jayden Nikorima signed for Hooker or Half? Otherwise that's 5 halves in the depth chart I think he'll make the team because of the Kodi/Hughes rumour

Like I said before it's all about how they go in preseason but at this moment I don't see PT as the backup

Don't want it too seem like I'm hating on PT or anything I just think he still needs time to develop

The one year contract says a lot to me. No team signs someone they consider to be a “gun young half” to a one year contract. It guess it gives Sean O'Sullivan a salary for a year and a chance to show his skills in first grade and it gives the Warriors a solid back up until they sign a game leading half in 2022.
makes me think they plan to open the chequebook for a real half in 2022.

Probably same reason why Nathaniel Roache wouldn't get a 3 year contract at this stage. Sean O'Sullivan has done his ACL 3 times before hes 22. Probably a similar reason as to why he has hardly featured in NRL matches. Besides, he is signed as depth, on a 1 year contract. Its not like we should be shitting on him before he's even pulled on the Warriors jersey. If he's good enough he will get more game time than his recent years. If he eventually unseats PT or whoever else, we should be glad. We should want the best players in our team rather than favs based on a couple of games.

Agreed. I wouldn’t rule him out of hooker cover either...

Key quote

“It’s great to be able to bring in a player of Sean’s ability to boost our squad,” said new Vodafone Warriors head coach Nathan Brown.

“He’s been part of the great system at the Roosters and has broadened his experience spending the last two seasons with the Broncos. He’ll add real value for us and ensure there’s real competition for places.”

Firstly I would have kept AK if possible, however we are not privy to what the new Coaching setup wants, or what AK himself is asking for and wants. He is N Aussie and his profile is bigger now. So are they going to upgrade someone who they see as backup and maybe doesnt want to be here.

KN & Chanel Harris-Tavita are hardly established Halves, both are first choice for us but Turner has shown promise in his one opportunity and seems to have a good training ethic.

Signing injury prone players is always a risk but as long as Sean O'Sullivan can hang together he provides that cover. If necessary you also have Perham and Hiku.

As the NSW Under-18s State Player of the Year, there is already plenty of expectation on Sean O’Sullivan.

this kid has played for nsw and the junior kangaroo s injury has slowed his development but i think you might be underestimating what we might have here.
Good luck sean glad your with us.
I hope so
We have plenty of opportunity for a good young half
