Neptism or not for me it's simply a case of POS strengthening a percived weakness within the roster.

No offence to Paul Turner or Sione Moala who both have bright futures but if a long term injury struck either Niko or Chanel Harris-Tavita I know I'd be more comfortable with less talented player but one who understands the game and has played his career in the halves coming through in Australia than a manufactured half or an absolute greenhorn.

Looks like sensible roster managment to me if true.

100% agree

Having a half who has been in or around first grade at the Broncos and Roosters for the last few years strengthens the squad. Good injury cover for Chanel Harris-Tavita and Niko and keeps the pressure on them to perform. Turner is probably not ready (or maybe suited?) to play an organising role and I'd be worried if we needed him to lead us around for a block of 5/6 games

Good back up for Chanel probably won’t see him much maybe will be given 1 or 2 games

I am happy with O'Sullivan.

He is average and that is good enough for the overall picture.

I am weighting his signing versus the existing options.

Sure it would be nice to sign a good half, but how realistic is that? Not at all realistic.

Also, Chanel Harris-Tavita is on the cusp of either being good or not. If we signed a good half then write off Chanel Harris-Tavita.

We also have Jayden who is known to have been a good player, so there are two gambling irons in the fire there, the more the better.

O'Sullivan just cements the gamble on those guys uncertain futures, he gives the Warriors a safe fall back.

An average O'Sullivan is still better than a badly fading Green...so the Warriors can claim to have improved their team with this signing.

I th
He’s got a good footy brain. You can see the POS influence.

But he has the athleticism of an 80 year old hospital patient.

There’s below standard NRL level athletes and then there’s Sean O’Sullivan.
I think he’s been hampered by knee and hamstring injuries last few years though, will never be a live wire but may surprise in terms of speed and agility with an off season and a clear run
