I'm pretty sure Justin Hodges last night he called Manly the Seagulls. Ok slip of the tongue is fine but look how much stick the guys like Gould etc give any CEO or ARLC Chairman if they get a player or team name wrong. That is probably more cause they want to stick it to outsiders.

Halligan often praises the wrong player.

Listening to pro wrestling pod casts they often talk about how a lot of people can't adjust from being a performer to being a commentator as a commentator isn't supposed to promote themselves but get the action over. A lot of the former players moving to commentary seems to be a jobs for the boys.

Do they get them to try out on an old game or anything?

A lot of them still cheer for their home team or in the case of the Queenslanders the team from their state. Then they can barely commentate on the ins and outs of their positions. Centre is one of the key defensive positions so having a centre in the commentary box they should at least be pointing out the defensive decisions on the edges and why they led to tries. That is one thing I like about Gasnier.

The Melbourne cheerleading yesterday by Glen Larmer, Daryl Halligan and Justin Morgan was shameful.
Once Melbourne had established a solid lead they were fauning all over them.
To the point where they were not even commentating on the game itself.
They are so thick that when Brodie Croft went off, they thought Melbourne were severely disadvantaged when in fact it made them stronger.
Hughes is a way better half than Croft and Papanhuezin is a way better full back than Hughes.

Wanted to turn off the fox commentary, the gleeful mocking of the Warriors and the fanboy frothing over the storm just rubbed salt into the wounds

Didnt know where to put my rant, but fuk the nrl, Sam Burgess gets medically retired, Souths get 1mil back in their cap, then he gets a panel job on most nrl shows. The cu** can hardly be understood and talks a whole lot of shit. People are getting layed off but not this cu**.
