Im really missing Arthers. He is damn dangerous close to the goal line. Hes played a lot of possies but I think Centre i his gig.

Hope Warriors make a play with Bris for him. Good to have kiwis who dream to play for the Warriors get the oppurtunity. He has said he would be keen if it ever happened.

Wrighty's Analysis

Fullback - Advantage Warriors
Wings - Advantage Sharks
Centres - Double advantage Sharks
Halves - Advantage Warriors
Props - Advantage Warriors
Hooker - Advantage Sharks
Second Row - Draw - neither second row is strong
Lock - Sharks

Bench - Double advantage Sharks with experience of Graham and Mcinnis

Totals Warriors 3 Advantages
Sharks 7 advantages

I don't see a ready path to victory here.
For us to win our two centres will need to have the games of their lives.
AND Katoa will need to play well. I personally like him starting as he always over plays his hand and doesn't pace himself / commits errors off the bench.
Hynes/Moylan have the advantage of time together and they're in good form. They probably have not played Asi much if at all. That can be an advantage, but you compare Shaun Johnson today with Shaun Johnson pre THAT MANLY GAME, he's like an old man who is there just for his boot and the occasional try assist. I watched a highlight reel of him this week. I'd forgotten how incredible his running game was. He's a retiree compared to that now. The sooner Chanel Harris-Tavita clicks with another half the better.

In response to 3-4 respected posters who disagreed with my Advantage Warriors on the halves I would like to respond

If we want to win then our halves pretty well need to outplay theres.

Advantage Warriors

Our Halves are good they have not shown in some games as Shaun is quite bad when we lose the middle. If we win the middle this game then our Halves will have front foot ball.

I think you are getting caught up in the players Johnson makes look good.

Team looks good on paper, but boy talk about fumble and bumble our way through the last 8 rounds. We're lucky to be where we are on the table.

Would dearly love to see them finally put an all round game together, else we'll get left behind on the table with what they're currently dishing up.

If they get it right, cant see the sharks knocking us off to be honest..

Let's gone Worryerz...

No way, Arthers has run perfect lines and is an awesome defender, its like saying I only like Arthers because Curren ran 100m and 40 tackles.

Im not sure who else Shaun Johnson has linked with that Ive got caught up with. End of the day Arthers is 1st choice right now because he is easily one of our top 2 centres. The young guys get a 2nd chance this week and montoya wont be back for another, so they have plenty of opportunity to impress. They cant afford to sit back with imposter syndrome, guys like Villiami HAVE to impress this years chances because next year there are so many layers of coverage for nearly all the backline. So they will be 3rd choice and playin soley RG until they get better and impress. Competition at the Warriors is going to be a novel concept and its going to mean when a key player goes down we have a player of high quality to replace him.

Lets hope they dont sit back in their shell this weekend.:)

Its the wingers we need to shut down, they have been flying for the Sharks. I expect more targeted bombs from Shaun Johnson. aside from them clearly the two halves have good knowledge of each other.

And then on offense, just hold the flappn ball, its getting beyond embarrassing or sickening, its below high school level. High completions and I reckon we are very under rated with the odds, although understandable given how we have played and who has the much better for n against etc. Just hold the ball when the try line is open.

Sharks are the only team I haven't watched this season. Flying blind here for a change.

Must say I'm far less nervous....maybe I should stop watching the next weeks opponents games every weekend..mmm

Arthur's apart from the Storm has had a brilliant season. Especially pleased he carved up the Broncos.

Not everyone clicks around Shaun Johnson.

Jason Bukuya was a good running backrower who couldn't get his timing right off Sjs shoulder.

Hoffman was the biggest disappointment, leading NRL try scoring forward, ole Ryan couldn't click with SJs style either.

Johnson can be quite tricky to play off, if it ain't a set move you have no idea of timing his jinking.

Arthur's goes through untouched because Shaun Johnson delivers a beautiful ball and Arthur's hits it at full pace, clearly you need a very fast hole runner to go when Shaun Johnson goes....not so much just leg speed, quick decisive reaction timing.

Lee Oudenryn bro,

He smoked Offiah even though Offiah was hung over and jogging at first, Offiah could beat most Wingers on one leg if he showed up on his game.

We just never saw Lee get put into a gap in this useless club.
Loved Lee Oudenryan. For some reason I always associate him to that red jersey we had for a while.

The 1995 Sean Hoppe had some gas.

A pre broken ankle Shaun Johnson was lightning quick. I can't remember who it was but I recall he ran down a notable speedster who had a big head start. Someone out there may remember who it was.

Former development player, Israel Ogden, has bagged himself a double before halftime today playing on the Wing for the Magpies. I know Covid meant he got no footy during the 2020 season but did he show much when he was involved in the club? Would Kosi have still been shipped to Redcliffe last season had Ogden not left?

For some reason I thought the game was on today....hate waiting for Sunday games lol.

Ah well, two of the

Jennings bro AKA fastest man in the NRL sniff....Shaun Johnson got him.

Same game vs the Roosters the Flying fish went 70 Mtrs on nitrous while a mic'd up Matt Elliot Yells 'Post Fish Posts'.

Michael Jennings & Daniel Tupou. They called Shaun Johnson the "Zoo Keeper" came from 20 metres behind to catch the giraffe Tupou.
Also, Tedesco trying to catch Shaun Johnson on that 90 metre run. Teddy had no chance.
