Would you say we were utterly and comprehensively out coached then?
Absolutely. You can see the difference between both teams and how they approach a set. We play a style while the sharks were playing to a weakness. Their whole offence was geared to attack that weakness.

Using an NFL comparison most teams will have a scripted 1st 10-15 plays, the coaching really starts once they have figured out what the defence is giving them by the 2nd quarter. Then they will adjust. The teams that are the most predictable and unable to design for their skilled players tend to struggle.

We similarly had a great first few sets but once things break down we fall back to one out and we are struggling to design anything for our skilled players ie Walsh that can allow them to use their skills effectively. Thats coaching for me.

In many ways I feel Shaun has be given the offense and said "here you go figure it out", i cant see any evidence that tells me anyone else is really involved in the planning of what they're doing other than Shaun. I think the coaches are doing a disservice to him and the team. They need to be designing things to ease his burden or put him in positions to use his abilities more effectively. I dont know how he is the one with the ball on the 5th tackle so much, Shaun Johnson is doing too much right now.

What do you think it says about Browny and to a lesser degree Warriors management that he was out coached by someone with 7 games under his belt?

I think Fitzgibbon has quite the pedigree and played his cards well waiting for the sharks opening. I would say the warriors coaching staff got outplayed by the Sharks coaching staff. I feel our coaches are lacking some tactical nous and strategy, i would look to upgrade Jones and Morgan. I dont think brown is doing much of the nuts and bolts of the coaching, hes probably coming up with the overall vision but I think we are lacking at the strategic level which I would look to his assistant coaches to blame. In saying that he signs off on everything so at the end of the day they are making him look bad and making him look out-coached.

Couple of really interesting points

You need a hard task master like Kearney to be defensive/assistant coach. A soft spoken and well like Aussie like Brown in recruitment/management and a tough motivator and orator like Payton to be coach.

We've done all these at different times and found success but never together.
And you need Andrew McFadden as attack coach.

Our shapes and timing were on point under Cappy. He would get the best out of Walsh.

Good analysis Brother Faisal.
I couldn’t possibly watch any of it again.
But ASI only got the ball rarely from Egan it was constantly being passed to Shaun Johnson.
My daughter was just asking me about Sione Faumuina.
Got me looking at the 2003 squad.
What a squad compared to this year.
In three years based in Aus I think we have lost our soul. Someone else pointed out this is mainly just a team of hired guns .. mercenaries.
We should get our soul back and rebuild especially having two second grade sides when we get back to being based at good old Penrose.

I don’t like that loser either but is he totally wrong?
I used to be a Hurricanes, All Blacks die hard.
I can’t watch a game of Rugby now, makes my head hurt and in rages me with the rules.
Warriors, lost my passion for this team 5 or 6 years ago, with the signings over the last couple I brought back in but it was a false alarm.
One thing though that has kept me passionate is the Black Caps, absolute fighters.
Can’t comment on the other Kiwi sports as I haven’t been back for a long while but is he wrong with the other sports?
MMA looks like a ginger stepson with even Israel boycotting NZ.
Kai kara france is a beast and could be fighting for the title next, brad riddel is awesome too he just had a banger with fiziev. Ofcourse dan hooker as well but hes had a bad run lately. Volkanovski fights out of city kick boxing although hes australian. Eugene baremen (head coach) is all class and is highly rated withen the ufc.
Pretty much just saying fuck rattue

Totally agree, Australasia is strong as hell.
They don’t get the love they deserve, Government tried to fuck them, media took so long to advertise their achievements.
Maybe I worded wrong, basically MMA and the Black Caps are the only shining light.
But totally agree, Rattue is a troll
