Brad Fittler has come out and Said Lodge should have been sin binned for that forearm on the Raiders player. I bet he would not be saying anything if it was a Raiders forearm on a Warriors player. I suggest Fittler stick to what he does best..... Being a bias Australian wanker

Truthfully though, how was it not a sin bin?

I expected him to be sent off and couldn't quite believe following multiple replays it was just a penalty.

He needs to calm down a bit with the refs, every penalty he's throwing up the 10 fingers for a binning, calling out eye gouges (wut) and playing dead if he gets a marginal hit, there's gamesmanship and then there's just annoying the refs.
Ah that's my fault my bro! He can probably hear me through the telly

Penalties and Errors are so costly. I am a fan of Lodge, he is a great player, but he is too much of a hot head at times and it costs us momentum. Katoa played well I thought but those crucial errors were turned into points and we should have lost the game because of them. Johnson & Walsh are also consistently putting us under pressure with shitty passes/errors. I know their confidence might be low but some of the errors/penalties are so frustrating to watch!!!

Have heard some players are coached to raise their forearm to protect their heads from concussion - excuse didn’t fly with me either.
The hypocritical hysteria from Blocker pissed me off though, it was a raised forearm not a directed elbow into someone’s face.
I’d say Lodge is looking at a suspension though

Thought I saw he gets off with a $1000 fine. Fingers crossed

Was just about to post in regards to this .

Absolute bs.
I noticed there's been barely any talk from them in regards to how Wighton somehow escaped at least a yellow for that tackle on Walsh. To give Lawton a red the day before then say that tackle was fine was an absolute joke.

Man I really didn’t think there was much in it- it’s not a cocked elbow- what jwh and nas do every carry looks more like an elbow to me.
If u watch the replay chn races up offside- so far offside that they collide a split second after lodge catches the ball- lodge has no time to react and looks like he goes for the hit and spin to take the impact but it goes wrong.
If I was his lawyer I’d be claiming self defense.
Penalty fair enough.

Not a single quote in this article from old mate Buzz. Screams of being more an opinion piece and trying to protect his mate Sticky.

I’d be more annoyed in Lodge if he did say something like this to the press.

Don't want to comment much on the game itself, take the win no. matter how you do it in the NRL. Its a brutal competition and you try and keep your head above water most of the time. 2 points is 2 points.

I don't think the defence needs much focus right now, yes a few lapses, mainly by Shaun imo who was just not there. I thought most players competed on a short turn around, to give up 0 points in second half is commendable.

The attack on the other hand is really disjointed. There are some reasons for it but its overall ineffective.

Firstly the incomplete sets are demoralising, i can see the halves are frustrated not being able to reach the end goal of what they want to achieve by tackle 6. The amount of incomplete sets and errors at the wrong times has been messing with our ability to get into a flow. It comes back to patience in playing the ball, the basics. Take those errors out and you might have some better results that see out the complete plan of the set.

There are too many what I would call survival sets. One outs with a kick at the end. by tackle 4 they are starting to do something with the ball but you really want to be doing something by tackle 3. Its a field position thing but its also laziness on the halves part and hooker. Those sets are ultimately time wasters and trying to survive as opposed to being a constant threat.

Service from hooker. Egan is very Shaun focused. Shaun gets what he wants most of the time but sometimes its the wrong option. Im not sure if Egan is reading his numbers right or if he only views Shaun as the option. The vailea try was off of 2 back to back plays down Asi's side. Asi played very direct and it proved effective. I would like Egan to really start trusting the other halves. We cant keep giving Shaun the ball each tackle.

Shaun and Reece. The out the back from Shaun to Reece isnt working. They are really out of sync and do seem to work well together. The Pompey try although simple had Reece at first receiver, he made a simple pass to Aitken but I think him playing first receiver down a short side or in general would be much more effective. The other option is to just play it flat to Reece from Shaun and let Reece make the cutout or the short ball. I think teams are reading Reece when out the back as easy to defend. Hes much more dangerous as a triple threat. In saying that he makes some very rushed decisions which lead to errors so its hard to justify it, i just think hes better as a first receiver and allowing him to chos to play flat or out the back. Either way Reece needs more time with the ball in hand. Out the back gives you less time and most times he gets jammed by the centre coming in.

I seriously dont know how this offence has been able to win games over the past few weeks. Its seriously basic and ineffective for the most part. I will credit the defence for holding but its not going to cut it against the top 6 sides.

What an absolute farce. If the roles were reversed I guarantee we wouldn't hear a single peep out of them. What's even sillier is the fact that he clearly did get hit high, and similar incidents to those have been called a penalty consistently for a while now. Only a problem when it benefits the Warriors it seems.

If Buzz is hot about it we will hear more whining tonight.

Since Lodge has joined us how many minor offences has he been pinged and reported for? If he did the tackle he would of been penalised no matter what the contact.

A pity no one in the media supports the Warriors. Imagine if someone asking where was this uproar when Josh Reynolds jumped to fake a spear tackle to get a penalty. Usually from the Aussies, we hear about gamesmanship and their working the system to get rulings their way. They are a selective bunch when they want to worry about the rules and integrity.
