Team Lists

A stupid question...but apart from their long history in gutter press, and them wrecking our beloved game, they have supported the Russians in endangering democracy. Close the door on the way out.

Not all of us are interested in politics.

Don’t hate the player. Hate the game.

Or just wants to report the news that the left deny all the time. Left media being CNN Washington Post New York Times Twitter Facebook etc
Believe what you want, but Fox news supports Putin via Tucker Carlson, are you saying Putin/Russia invading Ukraine is fake news?

Hope he comes through it ok.

Rona is gonna hit someone in the NRL the wrong way eventually.

Ideal timing If you can say that with Jazz back.
Had a workmate that's very fit recently come back that was hit hard by COVID. Whereas my old man who's close to retirement age and diabetic came through it fine and barely felt anything other than a sore throat. Puts things into perspective that it can effect people differently weather healthy or not. Sorry for the off topic.

Noticed that very few from the squad turned out for Redcliffe on Saturday and with our players being Covid tested today I’m picking all 25 named on Tuesday travelled down to Melbourne as a precaution.

Interesting to see Kodi at their training run in Nundah yesterday. Thought he was self isolating. Ah well, fingers crossed we’re good to go.

Brown mentioned Jazz would be in the 17 so Otukolo likely drops out provided there are no forced changes.

Just gotta say, we are currently 9th on he ladder, and deserve to be there. Even if we get a toweling tonight, which I doubt, we will probably stay at least 9th.

Maybe too early to get excited, but this side has a different feel to it.

From a stats point of view a small improvement is way better than a small decline, because it shows a trend.

I enjoy watching a team give its all, winning is better than losing of course, but having a go is easier to watch than dropped lips.

Having Jazz there is important as he dictates the linespeed, it is never quite the same without him.

My starting Front Row, Addin Fonua-Blake, Egan, Bunty, Bench, Otukolo, Sironin, Lodge, Pene.

Explanation is we need more impact off the bench, hence Lodge. Also DH is going to be very busy with Grant and Cheese, so Otukolo comes in as Egans energy levels drop. Jazz will have enough on his hands. an

If we can control that ruck area a bit better, we are a show.

The eels are a team that troubles the storm and if you look at it, we have a similar recipe. Big forwards with the exception of Aitken who is a great defender nonetheless, a halves combination with experience and youthful exuberance. Jazz is a Ray Stone type player who won the game for the the eels in round 3. The only difference I see is Guthersons consistent defence at the back, not to say Walsh can’t be as good in that facet but attack is where he’s going to need to shine. Hopefully his mentor Billy Slater has been in his ear where to exploit the storm, if there’s anywhere.

Sironen is 95kg. Matterson, Lane, Papali'i are all 107kg+. We're not big. Especially during the middle period of the game

We have a very very fit pack for this game and it is going to be needed!
With Asofa Solomona starting it leaves Moeroa as the only prop cover, though Smith has been filling in there. I think with our props punching holes, the back row and backs need to spread it and have them running all over the park to tire them. Think Otukolo is good to add to the bench but Wishart can cover hooker and halves so Nikorima might have been handy if Shaun Johnson or Chanel Harris-Tavita sustain an injury.

Wishart played 40 minutes at Halfback for the Falcons in Q Cup on Saturday. It'll be interesting to see if he actually remains in the 17
