Kepu Is on the development list and unless some sort of dispensation that we don’t know about has been given then he simply can’t play in the first ten rounds as I am sure you know.
What makes you suspect a dispensation has been given. Do you know something ?

At the beginning of the season the NRL announced each club is allowed up to six development players that they can now call on from round one, so Kepu wouldn't need dispensation to play.

An exemption couldn't be justified if PPR wasn't injured. I guess they could argue that he's a Backrower rather than a Prop but if the NRL did some digging I think they'd find he wore the #8 & #10 jerseys for the Dolphins in 2021

I am warming to the idea of Otukolu on the Bench. He is a good defender from memory. He also brings another DH option, filling that Jazz role.

The panthers had Kenny and Salmon on the bench last night, for whatever reason we seem to be following suit with Otukolo and Nikorima on the bench.

That sounds familiar.
Surely if kepu is eligible it’s the perfect time to debut him- doesn’t need to play big minutes and won’t have to back up next week- just give him a 10-15 minute taste- run hard and make your tackles.

It looks like it's confirmed that it's down to just Valingi Kepu & Berry. It does describe PPR as a Prop & there's no mention of an injury

Never know the circumstances, one of our halves or Egan could be carrying a slight niggle. Would never know as Brown wouldn’t be likely to say like he wouldn’t for AFBs injury that he ended up playing with.

Yeah they do, which makes it interesting they put him up against the Cows and pulled him for the same niggles vs the Roosters.

You could extrapolate from that the Warriors saw the Cows game as winnable, a must win on their calendar and the Chooks game as a pass...a likely loss.

Otherwise why not pull him from the Cows game to be right for the Chooks?

Very clearly they decided let's risk his back this week so he can dodge the worst game the week after.

The medically sound thing would be to pull him now if you are gonna pull him and play him recovered....not roll the dice and play him with a niggle so you can pull him after the gamble.

If it was about playing with niggles he would be in the 17 again.

If taking that logic, next week is against the storm so this week is more winnable and it’s only a minor strain reported so potentially back next week. Think the injury is perhaps just too much for him to play with this week. I take your point though, if they were choosing between the cowboys and roosters they would see the cowboys as the more likely win to play him.
