Enjoyed the game until the refs made a number of second half decisions that were very questionable

I hope Autex front the bill and Brownie unleashes on these "officials"; they wouldn't know a knock on their head was the fucking ball.

Middle held up well without Lodge and Jazz which was good to see. A little bit more confident we hopefully won't see an ANZAC day half tonne Monday week.

Second half was a bit how ya going from the officials, thought we did well to stay in the fight and not throw in the towel despite the bad calls.

Didn't play much football after the first 20mins, but also didn't have much to work with in terms of field position.

Pretty happy with the result at the end of the day, was expecting a SCG thrashing.

Would be nice to have Montoya in for Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, and add Jazz, Lodge, Tohu Harris back into the squad.

Front row was lacking without Lodge, Pene seems to be more of a 2nd rower to me. We're in trouble prop wise if we can't keep or replace Lodge.

A majority of the first half showed we do have talent and the ability to play well, the key is just working to turn it into full 80 performances. I think this spine is coming along well.

We need a new centre next season, Pompey just isn't it.

Kodi, Otukolo and Egan in the team was pretty dumb really, Kodi doesn't even have decent enough service to justify playing 9.

Reffing was shocking. I thought the Tupou try was forward and Baker stripped the ball. The last 20 minutes or so speaks for itself.

Shaun Johnson wears his heart on his sleeve, it's good to see passion coming back into the squad.

I'll try post about things we can control because if I get into the BS officiating I'll be here all night.

1. We scored points three times and failed to complete the set after points three times.

2. The longer the game went the more they got on top of us. Really missed Lodge today

3. No one other than Addin Fonua-Blake was capable of running it straight. Our attack was hurt hugely from trying to go around them. Jazz cannot get back soon enough

i followed the broncos since i started playing barefoot half field. played all my teenage years at renown united in mortdale and harry matt’s at dragons juniors. i guess it’s fair to say i’ve not only seen but played a few games in my time. i’ve followed our boys religiously since ‘95 and i have NEVER seen a referee decide an outcome that hard before.

warriors back 12? still six again. roosters back 2 of their 4?!?!? play on all game.
there was WAY too many head scratching calls.

without doubt warriors were never allowed to win tonight, no two ways about it. that result was decided before kick off.

fuck the NRL in the neck, infact fuck them right in the back of the inside of their neck 🍆👅

I really hope brownie calls out the bullshit & cops a fine, that was disgraceful. We definitely didn’t help ourselves, that’s not the point. We weren’t put in a position to do so, & every time we got momentum it was taken away. Disgusting.

That was a limp performance in the final 7 odd mins. Our defence was generally really good. Attack is building but needs a lot more work. Kodi should not be seen in first grade again. It's a waste of a spot in desperate hope that he will come good. It's not going to happen. His service from DH was sloppy. Really missed Egan when he was off.

We desperately need Lodge back.

Played above our weight. Halves Couldn’t do much with the lack of go foward but Shaun needs to get more involved instead of parking on the right. Another good game by Channel. Pene’s been average, as soon as Ale’s fit I’d give him his spot. Was always gonna be tough ask with Harris, Lodge, Tevaga, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Murchie, Ale all out. Top 8 at least this year for sure

Yes the video ref was terrible (on field ref i thought was fair) but we lost this game on the first play of the second half. 3 straight penalties killed us. But how the video ref was able to rule that walsh lost the ball foward is beyond me. It was obvious the roosters player stripped the ball, and it went backwards off him, try to arthurs. It was like he played on then seen arthurs would score and thought "no i cant deal with that, imagine if the roosters lose from this ill just say knock on". Disgusting the call on Addin Fonua-Blake and then to say pompey purposely put his foot out when you could clearly see his leg is trapped by our other players knee, and just after he rulled against Addin Fonua-Blake. Man that makes me livid

We done well to keep the game close regardless of the bad calls and the roosters incredible line speed.

At full strength, we win this imo. Lodge was a huge loss as Addin Fonua-Blake was the only foward consistantly making meters.

Dont know why people are hating pompey off that performance. He had a big hand in nullifing manu and the right hand attack of the roosters. Also great hand in the kosi try, maybe he missed a chance to put kosi away again but theres no guarantee kosi scores from there. He also carried the ball alot into stiff roosters defense, no doubt there he had a better gane than what berry would have.

Again we are not getting the ball to walsh in good field position. We seen what the young man can do with half a gap.

It does not get easy next week. If we play like this again, make no mistake about it, the storm will put 40 on us. We need to get better from this game.

Had a major issue with how quick the Roosters were getting off their line compared to us. Why do we struggle so much in this area compared to what seems like every other team?

What a load of bollocks... man I've never seen bias in the 2nd half as bad as this... then again as Murdoch once put it in the early 80s when you pay for it... you dont care about any thing else but tv and entertainment ratings because that puts the bottom line in black.. 5 mill people in Syd v 4 mill in NZ .. I dont care what my fellow forumers may think ... but I've been going on about this for years... plus the 20yr Rooster premiership bullshit.. just set us up for a fall.. and it looks like they were all in on it... we're A better club than that..

I work in deep learning applied to sports and it wouldn't be beyond current tech to use generative techniques (deep fakes for sports) to send the bunker up footage where all the players are generic and the jerseys are just say red for one team and blue for another. In a nutshell the bunker would have no idea who they are ruling for or against and would therefore remove bias. Could be a chance for the NRL to lead the sporting world (I say that without laughing out loud).
