And with that impossible task you will see fans eyes glaze over and out with come the 'we were outclassed' , 'you cannot blame the refs', and 'this player needs to be dropped' comments.

Rugby League is the most unevenly officiated thing going in sports. Other sports you see howlers and they make headlines. This sport the people are conditioned to accepting it as a norm.
And it is not new, it goes back decades and decades.

It is a miracle Samoa made a WC final and that Tonga are as strong as they have become, because the mountain to get over being Reffed like a Minnow is massive. At least in the NRL you are accepted as a poor cousin, but a cousin none the less. Internationals you are fighting this bias from scratch with no pedigree or entitlement to beat one of three Nations.

He is talking about it being tough for us but he also points out round 5 being important as some of the better teams start getting their shit together.

So we have Bluey's round (6) next week but Webster has Judgement week (round 5). Well at least he isn't getting reminded every week of hoodoos the club has at each ground they haven't won at for X amount of years.

In 2019 round 7 a 19 year old Kid called CHT led us into a fierce no quarter given to the death all time battle against the Storm. After being dudded on a late penalty we lost 13-12 after playing our hearts out and being the better team on the night.
The Storm line up included Cam Smith.

There is everything to be gained in this match and nothing to be lost. Let's play with some risk as we are the underdogs and nothing will happen to our season if we lose.

Our Warriors play rugby league not to make a living I suspect but because they love playing league. Sunday night is a chance to make some memories.

There is one factor that hasn't been discussed much that is bigger than the Ben Cummins factor.

Shaun got dumped by the Sharks and may have a point to prove. He has been in red hot form and could take Sunday's match personal.

They should and will fear Shaun at his full powers.
There is a real chance he may out play Hynes on Sunday if he is pumped up enough.

I am more interested in performance than result. They can win any game if they play well enough. Blaming Referees often gives an excuse to overlook aspects of the performance. Volkman just needs to carry out the core roles of his position and hopefully someone will step up as his 'minder'

I guess it depends whether you take getting rimmed up the arse part of your job.

I don't think teams fear Talakai/Ramien as much any more. The key is swamping Hynes. They're a different team with him around. I think our defence has too much starch for the Sharks if we keep Hynes quiet. Kennedy is slightly over-rated IMO. He has enough weaknesses. Wahs by 2.

If Harris is out and Te Maire Martin then that's two really strong defenders. I hope I'm wrong but I'm picking a loss, but the by how many will be the interesting part. I'm hoping it's an honourable loss rather than a humbling one. Heart says Warriors, brain says stay out of the water.

100% we are going to lose this. Be a lot for Volkman to cover and the Sharks are a decent team.

But let's make sure it's a close on and a 11 man/dragons style loss.

Might be worthwhile to send this script to the commentators, and Adobo and Annersley in advance so they understand that we know how it works.. If the officials deem this what must happen it will and there will be nothing Warriors or fans can do about it. Perhaps throw in a very strong Captain's challenge to be rejected, should we try extraordinarily hard to impose a different script.
