Team Lists

Good match up this one but I think the Warriors look strong here. Good team and hard to argue with selections. That’s showing trust and faith in our players.

Something I have noticed from Webby is the squad mentality and ‘next man up’ approach that our team have embedded. Whoever is selected needs to perform to keep their place. How many years has it been since we said that???

Whilst Egan and Barnett are big outs, I’m confident Bunty and Freddy will fill those shoes admirably. Ford will play the Barnett role so expect big Mitch to be in his ear all week.

Lussick has the same energy and heart as Egan and he’s been waiting for his opportunity. Like Tuauapiki last week, here is his shot.

If our spine takes another step forward and our forwards have parity and/or dominance with equal ball, I expect our home crowd to get us home.

I’d love a full house or at least 20k+ through the gates. Our ground needs to be a place other teams hate to play.

The Dogs are there to be taken. They are improving but their brain fade last week almost cost them. What I want is our boys to show consistency and pull out another performance like what we displayed in Townsville last week.

Fast, accurate, brutal. And a Dub at the end of 80 minutes.

Going to be a great lead up to Sunday.

Agee with everything you have said.
However I feel we will miss the size and mongrel of Barnett.
I like Ford but he is a different type.
Would love to be able to attend.
I think the 3 grades are all playing.
Is that correct 🤔

Curran will play lots this year.

There is no way we go through the season intact. Fortunately our injuries have been relatively minor, even though we have had a few.

Agree with Siro being in for Dummy half play.

Even a player like Jazz who we are all high on, is not guaranteed to play sensibly and hold his spot, he does go silly at times, and I doubt this coach will shy away from giving him the hook if he does.

Seems pretty clear that its play the game plan or your not playing. They all seem to get it, that is the best part.

Curran has perhaps done something wrong to fall behind the hapless Sironen in the pecking order, He could have played against Cows as well.

You got that right Sup, Webby has standards that need to be met!

Yes, correct

Pretty good team to me so happy with it.. I'm not to worried about Curren missing out and Sironen in etc..etc...etc
We can't judge them by last year's performances any more... new culture, based back at home and a new coach IMO who has already made an impact and hit the ground running... so it's up to the players now, step up and catch up else getting left behind may mean missing out...

Last week was a challenge getting a win in Australia, backing up with the travel, along with the opposition. The threat of the Cowboys was more on last years form and that they could turn it around.

The Bulldogs have better recent form and like us are one of the sides looking like they are on the improve.

We have performed 3 weeks in a row. Need to back it up at home. In the past with people getting a bit more positive about the Warriors we'd trip up on a game like this.

It could be Ale's spot up for grabs if Curran comes back. I realize that Ale is a prop but Curran can play in the middle too. That might be up Webby's sleeve at some point. Or Curran plays on the edge with Jazz and Walker through the middle with AFB or Tohu Harris or Barnett in the middle third of the game.

I can see Ale developing and playing a different but vital role. If we have injuries Ale’s development is more important to the team than having Curran.

Plenty of width in their attack this year. Our greenhorn center and Winger will have their work cut out, really would have been handy to have Dallin Watene-Zelezniak for this one.

Also notice how they don't concede a late try when they are reduced to 12 and are penalized vs a Storm side.

Dogs will be tough.
