Id give that a B bordering on a B+. Just missing that crucial composure that will be needed against the top teams. That will come. Shaun Johnson is underdone but does the basics well. Our forwards are absolutely dominant and that front foot ball will be crucial in the next few weeks. Where has that defensive structure been? Seriously was so much better than what weve seen so far. Shaun Johnson stiffens that right edge up considerably and allows the others to slide. All in all any win without arguably our best player on the field is worth celebrating. 🥳
The defensive structure has been there but haven't been able to utilise it...and that's Morgan's dept for all you naysayesrs lol.
And whoever is calling out Fonzie? I know its hard to recognise sarcasm in the written word but I think there might have been an element of it in his post....funny how a win makes us all start calling out other people's calls.
Easy to point out doubts...who on here hasn't expressed that in the past 3 weeks?
Early days but promising signs, a long way to go tho

Some chaos there but i liked it.

Reynolds basically admitted he was committing an intentional foul so he could challenge and earlier call.

That's a clear professional foul. Would have loved it if the ref binned him too.
That's exactly right and its pretty easy to understand why you cant do that to initiate a captains challenge. I was surprised none of the commentators could understand it was wrong.

Pretty pleased with the performance and the result.

Yes, there's a lot of improvement required, but if any team is playing at near 100% in Round 4, that's not going to last and while they might well get their second wind at some point, will they get it at the right time ie finals time?

More examples of Aussie media bullshit…

Never rated Moley, and the other page I’m unsure of their credentials but they have 15k followers so…

I mean, where’s the praise where it’s due for us? We laid on some great tries and defensively did enough to hold the Broncos to 1 try (off of Reynolds brilliance…) - sure the Broncs had injuries but so did we…

But nah. We’re just awful to these cu**s.

Fuck them!!

This is the same media posting lies about Walsh being unhappy. He looked pretty engaged to me celebrating with the lads… he’s one of us for the foreseeable future.

I'm going to say we won that with physicality. Big hits, big runs.
If the team believes they can physically dominate teams, the confidence will come.
The few mis-timings should disappeared and we should click.
*Hopefully*
Oh hey!

Is that Mr Frank White?

Thought you were Miss Negative Nancy before the game 😂

Glad to see you mate!

Steady performance. A wins a win and alot of positives.

As they say. You can only best what is in front of you. Today they did just that.
But you couldn't say that last week! It was so weird. But today that's true 😂

Oh and another thing - I couldn’t give a single fuck if we were crap in every game from here on in… as long as we win each game.

The record books only see the final score, not the performance.

Sometimes ugly is beautiful. Just like a few of my ex girlfriends.

We were meant to get munted by a wounded Broncos outfit.

Brisbane started this fight at
100 miles an hour, which is right outta their tip sheet against a Warriors side that leaks 12 easy points in the first quarter.

They were all over us.

They went deep Into out half every set.

We were struggling and losing the battle of attrition.

But our middles hung on, Albeit while back pedaling, and from there what won us that game, is Kosi, Montoya, Arthur's, and Pompey.

Those much berated outsides kept the Broncos to 6 points.

When you win one you are picked to lose, and after 80 minutes of NRL, conceding only one try....is an A plus performance.

Especially when your club has been in total disarray leading into the match.

I don't care what anyone says from the Warriors super coach experts....in the context of our season....after three total shit rounds...that is one of this clubs most important wins.

Typically the Broncos enjoyed an endless session of Reff leg ups....but we ended up with a 6 point game.

I think it is outrageous that the Warriors three quarter line watched that Cowboys video from last week and copied the threatening offensive defence out wide....well done coaching staff...to identify the Broncos edges are superstars with the ball, but pussies if you smash the shit out of them.

It saddens me to see Ben Murdoch-Masila hurt, he was the most effective impact forward...nay the most threatening of all our forwards and killed the Broncs middles.

Chanel Harris-Tavita, Walsh, Egan, were perfect set up men for Johnson.

I love the fact Shaun Johnson only tried the bs run once, after that he learned we don't need it, Walsh is the running man.

If we change that team...Brown has not learned a fkn thing about NRL defence and the Warriors weakness.

Selector

Thought our defensive intent was very good today. Our edge especially wasn't backing of and sliding like they normally do. Good kick pressure as well at times. Now they have to show they can do it every week

Decision making and composure on attack still needs to improve. But johnson makes a huge difference and will be better for the run.

Would like Tavita-harris to do more kicking, would've got another 40/20 if for the right bounce in the 1st half. Not many teams have left/right kicking options so we need to use it to our advantage.

Other observations Curran is not an edge forward. Katoa needs a stint with Redcliffe to learn his game, so does Berry absolutely no need to rush him back next week.
