Id give that a B bordering on a B+. Just missing that crucial composure that will be needed against the top teams. That will come. Shaun Johnson is underdone but does the basics well. Our forwards are absolutely dominant and that front foot ball will be crucial in the next few weeks. Where has that defensive structure been? Seriously was so much better than what weve seen so far. Shaun Johnson stiffens that right edge up considerably and allows the others to slide. All in all any win without arguably our best player on the field is worth celebrating. 🥳

Can’t rank Kosi or Shaun Johnson in the rate the players…

Both played well and were big inclusions

Good win ..we still have much to work on esp on attack throwing away the ball with tackles to go ,,if we can lift higher and take that confident play into the COWs I think we could tip them up ...Are two big bopper on fire exact what halves needed ...

Shaun Johnson such a difference the whole team seem to gel so much better .. CNiko bench support at best ...

Bring on the COWs

First half - we looked great.

Second half - lost a bit of intensity, but grinded out a win and didn’t allow a point against us.

Forwards laid a great platform in the first stanza. Lost a bit of omph when Egan and Jazz left the field.

Niko and Katoa didn’t give much. Ben Murdoch-Masila was great, as was Bunty in limited minutes.

Arthars - would love if we could find a way to keep him. Pompey might be better suited at centre. Kosi/anyone who fills the wing role is a placeholder until Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is back anyway.

Shaun Johnson - controlled well. Had some erratic decisions in the 2nd half. But kept a level head and steered us in a win.

Walsh tries hard. A bit raw, or exhuberant, but a lot still to learn. Can see why Browns always harping about keeping him check. Especially when the Aussie media releasing articles every hour about how he’s gonna leave the warriors.

On the Aussie media - how about them fucken Fox Sport commentators tho.

I am (as I’m sure we all are) so sick and tired of listening to them.

Week in, week out they never speak about us with any sense of positivity - I agree that when we play crap, sure, but when we score, do anything positive they sound fucken dejected.

Whether it’s blocker or Flanno scoffing at anything we do, or Vossy and Warren Smith crying conspiracy every time a call goes our way, it’s fucken tiresome.

Im not calling for a team to be kiss arse but is could we have some objectivity, some fairness in the call.

Not the weekly bias - every week the commentators are literally cheering for whoever is up against us.

Fuck them.

But - good win. 2 in a row. Reduces the errors. A performance to build on.

Good win lads. Like someone said earlier…this is a good platform to now build from. We’re nowhere near the finished product but theres a decent footy team here IF we use this game as the new benchmark.

- Great fame from Montoya. This is why he is a better player than Ken. Can we settle that debate now?
- Addin Fonua-Blake & Lodge were huge! Put away the offloads and just ate up those metres. This is all we need from these fellas going forward.
- Good games from Kosi, Pompey and Arthurs. Out performed Staggs, Farmworth & Cobo.
- Shaun Johnson had some great touches and directed the team well. Enjoyed seeing him signal to the lads to settle it down in those last 10 minutes
- Jazz needs special mention. Looks to have really pulled finger on his mistakes. Great scrambling D.

How good is Shane Flannagan as a commentator. So insightful and in another stratosphere to the meat axe Blocker. Can we keep getting him do our games?!!!

Yes, I know our two wins have been against teams at the bottom of the table and there’s still a heap of games to go this weekend but that win puts the Warriors into sixth place for now.
